Cyberpunk 2077 coming April 2020. Stars Keanu Reeves

I am holding out on pre order.

Purely from previous let downs.
Will wait till it's launched and take it from there

There's no benefit from Pre-Order yet anyways yet that I can see. No cheaper, no extra missions, no nothing. So unless you think you're gonna have money issues when it launches there's no reason.

Just chill.

Jonh wick 3 was to me the most boring shit I have ever seen what a waste of 2 hours bastard

I`ve somehow never been able to play a single player game in first person , feels natural in FPS games but for some reason not story driven games. To be fair I`ve never tried one and they've never appealed to me. Maybe this will be the game to change my opinion.
I've been feeling the same lately. Just cant get into the story mode of fps games in recent years.
I do have great nostalgic memories of games like Clive Barkers Undying and the likes.

I see for the console versions it says, game discs included. Assuming its going to be pretty big if it needs multiple discs?

This game has such potential though so maybe it will change our minds. I`m not pre-ordering though that`s for sure.

There are only 2 reasons to pre-order games:
It works out cheaper due to discounts offered or the pricing of additional included DLC (like Season passes)
Or one has money now but is not sure whether one will be able to afford it in the month of release.

Both reasons pre-dispose that one is so much of a fan boy that one will buy the game in the week of release/before the first price drop irrespective of what reviews and others say.

If none of the above applies however then there is NO reason to pre-order.

Currently I am not aware of any such benefits for Cyberpunk 2077 so unless you foresee April being a heavy month financially already there is NO reason to pre-order, yet.

On gog they had a special that came with witcher and a few other cd games incl cyber 2077 for 80 something dollars. No idea if the special is still running.

But my worry is when a good dev house has to bring in a celebrity what are they trying to compensate for?

In this case, scale. There is absolutely no way Cyberpunk 2077 will match the scale of any of the Witcher games. There will not be Side Quests upon Side Quests upon Side Quests though I am sure there will be extra stuff to do. It will be much closer to original Mass Effect meets original Watchdogs. A sprawling Metropolis with bottled missions but RPGlike conversations and consequences.

It could also be they just wanted to use his likeness. Like how movie scriptwriters/directors sometimes know exactly who they want to cast. And it's so much easier to cast a person than to create a copy that doesn't feel like one or risk copyright issues.

That has neither been confirmed nor denied? It's been in development since 2012 afaik. So either extreme quality/depth, or lots of extra content in the form of quests or a balance of both, but that's all speculation, nothing concrete from what I know. What I can put faith in, is quality.

As to why Preorder THIS specific game that I agree with based on their reputation, from CDPR themselves -> "Also, since pre-orders are live, you might be wondering if there’s any point in placing an order now. Yes, if you want to give us some extra support. Pre-orders help us build anticipation — the more copies you pre-order, the more likely it is for us to get retail (both digital and physical) behind the game. Therefore, if you like what you see, we will appreciate you "voting yes" for CP2077 with a pre-order. If you are still hesitating though, we would rather you wait for more materials or reviews. Our goal is for you to truly enjoy CP2077 and not regret a pre-order.

Take care and looking forward to seeing you in Night City! CD PROJEKT RED team"

Fuck me...that's worth a pre-order XD

And no it hasn't been confirmed but I'm just thinking realistically about the type of game Cyberpunk 2077 is and what has been shown. The Witcher is about grand exploration, Cyberpunk 2077 is about combat and consequence. It's more Deus Ex than Final Fantasy.

By the way let's talk about how long they've had. Pretty much the only concepts intact from that teaser years ago are the Shirow-like (Black Magic OVA) concept for the world and the scissor arms. This game has not been been in actual physical development as long as people think.

For this studio, 100%. Now if EA as a publisher were to say something like that...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Could indeed be not as big as you mention scale-wise, and for this game more focused on content/options and interactions. Maybe expansions will be more cities keeping and or adding to the aforementioned depth. Guess We'll find out closer to the release or afterwards.
