Good Day,

New to carbonite, would like to do a custom pc build but have limited knowledge on what is needed and what would work in regards to below requirements.

Need a build for the following:

1. Business requirements e.g. the normal stuff mails blah blah blah, but be able to handle web design, ecom building, Video recording/streaming and production, Digital design, etc..

2. Music Studio and Production, needs to be able to handle production software and plugins, external equipment such as sound cards, amps, midi instruments etc...

3. Gaming such as COD, Pubg well pretty much any FPS

So in short i need a beast of a build

lots of RAM, PSU Power, HDD Space, Massive Graphics card, sound card is external so no need for that, but its gotta be able to handle the load without latency or overloading the CPU or GPU.

Budget is R30-R40k but must include the following:

massive motherboard
between 64g - 128g RAM
An Above average graphics card to handle the load
At Least 8-16 Tb of HDD Space
plus some sort of cooling system to keep the build chilled under pressure
not to worried about looks (case, LED's etc..)

Also do i go with 3 smalls screens or 1 large screen

plus not to worried about mouse and keyboard

But i need something that's gonna run something similar to those specs in the price range of R30,000.00 - R40,000.00 or atleast get away with something similar that can handle the load.

PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK AND LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS OVERKILL OR IF THERE IS NO WAY I CAN GET A BUILD SIMILAR TO THAT FOR MY BUDGET!

OR MAYBE I DON'T EVEN NEED THAT MUCH HORSE POWER UNDER THE HOOD FOR WHAT MY REQUIREMENTS ARE.

SO IN SHORT HEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!

So the parts list does not need to include; keyboard, mouse and monitor?

Budgets overkill especially if you shopping on carb.
Ram- 16gb should be good, 32gb Max
Storage, go 500gb /1tb nvme drive with a slave drive for storage
Otherwise the usual, I7cpu , 1080ti gpu

Really depends on where you main focus will be

needs to include monitor too either 3 small 22" screens or 1 40 inch or something like that, but not worried about, keyboard mouse speakers, leds, or stuff like that all those extras ill get seperately

can push budget to 50k buts thats last resort as then its gonna take longer for me to build the pc cause i'm saving 15k p/m on it so im looking to getting an idea of what i'm looking at first or what is needed or what i can get away with then probably around march april looking to by everything and build the rig

more on the processing so as long as it handles the graphics intensity and is able to run multiple programs and be under load without having any issues and doing damage to the build, would rather pay now and still have a relevant pc in 5-10 years and only have to change certain components as time goes on instead of having to replace an entire pc every 2 years

I'd say keep @Senshi on the line. He can help you with picking and sourcing the parts, he will probably PM you soon, he has great reviews.

I do not recommend looking now if you are only buying in April/March as stock and pricing should change drastically between now and then.

The difference between R50k and R40k will also make a massive improvement in the build as it would enable you to comfortably have your required, but expensive parts in it (specifically the storage and RAM which is very expensive at those large capacities) without having to cheap out on other things.

Specs as mentioned should be good.
You could probably put a full WC pc for that budget

Good watercooling will be like... R10k.

I tried to spec out a modern PC on Wootware and R40k is a hard target to reach unless you pick mid-range parts (like the 5600X and B550 boards)

I don't think OP will be watercooling (except for an AIO of course)

I’m sure not, just indicating that the budget is overkill

Hi @SethM0001 and welcome to Carbonite. Please could you send me a private message with your contact number and I will give you a call to discuss?

I think you should stop giving out bad advice to be honest. Productivity based computers are specced differently. Pretty sure the OP is looking at buying new and not 2nd hand, as such his budget is relevant, considering the storage and memory requirements.

Maybe my post was taken in the wrong way, I don’t believe spending 50k on a pc is beneficial.
I was indicating that you could probably spend that type of money on a pc and watercool it for the same amount. And the wc isn’t necessary.

If the OP wants to do so that’s up to him, and will depend on weather he buys new or second hand
