So lately I have been getting disconnected every now and then from comp games. Rebooting the rooter gets the internet working again but I am still unable to reconnect. I can start the game, check my previous matches, see who is online, check nearby lobbies, I can even stream online CSGO matches, but it just does not want to reconnect to the match. So my internet is definitely working. I click reconnect and the timer just runs up to about 20s and then gives me a message that I have failed to reconnect. Sometimes I am lucky and it reconnects but that happens maybe once in every 5 disconnects. Rest of the time I just swear a lot and end up with a ban / cooldown.

I have checked some videos online but have not found anything conclusive. I have tried the "verifying game files" fix but that takes longer than three minutes so by the time I have done that I have been banned anyway.

Another "fix" was releasing my IP, renewing it and then flushing my DNS. Have not tried that yet.

Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix??

I had the same issue a while back could not find a solution. It eventually disappeared on its own (or by chance i did something right) i think it might be related to latency. Try upping your acceptable ping setting in csgo before match and try.

I'm waaay to kak to get VAC banned. Altho it tends to only happen when I play great, never disconnects when I get my ass kicked

Global smurf. He flicks like something els and knows all the spots etc. Even when playing with him in the same room it sometimes looks like his walling or something but his actually not. He only has a very good game sense. Its weird how he plays and sometimes just knows where you'll be. I told him one time to show me on my pc that his not using something and 3min in he changed dpi setting ingame for mouse speed and on point he was again. I guess thats what happens if you server admin and play games the whole day lol

Ok so it happened again last night. Switched off router, unplugged it, left it 30s and plugged back it in and switched on. Closed Steam, Origin and OneDrive, which was apparently updating? (not even sure what it is). I also disabled all my anti-virus protections / shields. Once the router restarted and my internet was working again I opened Steam, opened CSGO and I reconnected first time. So hopefully this will work again next time and every time after that. Bit of a hassle but as long as I don't get a cooldown I'm happy.
