Private lobby and private server is not exactly the same thing. On a private server, is sv_cheats 1 is on anyone can take advantage of that, but you can't enable the sv_cheats from client side.

On the other hand I would like to point out if you roll with private lobbies, who ever is hosting that lobby is going to have a monstrous ping/game feel advantage.

Think the private server would work better then. I am sure @stroes won't mind adding the commands for us before each game commence.

The only other problem is we will only have one server, so one match at a time.

Hey guys! Me and the team are keen on joining but this whole SV_CHEATS 1 is really discouraging. I see a few people have commented about it already but why not just play it vanilla and let the entire team knife for sides like every other comp game in history? It's basically just as quick as 1v1 knife at start.

Furthermore why nospread and recoil? CS:GO is a competitive game. This seems like a strange solution and is going to mess with a lot of people.

Does anyone else feel like it would be better if it were just normal, or is that just me?

Edit: Just read more and noticed you guys are fully aware. Hmm. Why not just play COD? lolz
In all seriousness I am half keen still.

Thanks for your input, and I can see there is totally a interest for normal CS:GO.

For now we will stick with this genre and settings but I will definitely host a normal tournament in the upcoming months.

The main reason why I like this game mode is that I can actually play well if these settings were not in place I would get rekt!

Hey Viv thanks a mil - its just my brother at the moment, I think he might be under Ravenholm, or Rasengan. I cant check with him at the moment, I think he is in bed. Will confirm tomorrow if he has not been approved yet.
