As anybody who has used Crystal Reports before will know, Crystal Reports will not be updated for support on .NET 5 or newer going forward. However, I need a replacement that supports .NET 5/6, and that will continue to do so.

I have found Fast Reports, which looks like a very good alternative, but I would like to find out whether anybody has found another alternative. The iframe solutions and hosing it in .NET Framework 4.8 will not work since we will be moving all our products to .NET 6 eventually, and we will host everything on Azure (long-term plan), so every piece of code needs to be compatible with each other.

- .NET 5/6 support.
- Must be able to export the data - including headers - displayed on the report, to Excel & PDF.
- Must be embeddable on websites in HTML.
- Must be able to integrate in APIs - I currently use an xsd dataset, and then populate it via an API call that calls the database and hides/shows columns on the actual reports, depending on what permissions/settings the users have. Thus, it is totally datasource connection independent, it uses whichever datasource the API itself specifies.
