Hey all

Imagine being able to dunk a rusk without the sludge at the bottom of the cup, or being able to rescue a fallen cookie without it sinking to the depths of your drink? Well now that can be a reality with the Crumb Cup.

My brother in-law started the following funding page. Please follow the link to find out more about the Crumb Cup here: https://thundafund.com/project/crumbcup

I hope this is the right place to discuss and gain interest. If not please DM me and I'll make the change. (First time posting something like this).

Would appreciate advice on how to spread the word and any interest of course :)

Cool idea, backed! Just have to comment what I see:
1.Would be way more enticing if they showed more vigorous dunking and some accidental breaking of soft biscuits, and then skip to the last bit where they finish the drink and show how little mush remains in the cup after, and a promotional video of them brewing tea would make a lot of my friends really happy.

2. Maybe it's just my dirty mind but the logo makes me think of the cummy marie thing.

A few hints

1. Patent that idea on this product before 700 different people copy/email Vietnam,China,Japan to reproduce in no time
2. A blog on how this idea came about and more information pertaining to why is Tim solution viable & affordable to all
3. Proper high res photos from various angles to showcase - Selling point also product quality this is part is vital

Before letting content out, double..no triple check it; especially when it involves asking people for backing.

Makes me think, if Tim cant use spell check then how much thought is he putting into crumb cup.

Also interested to know how i drink from the mug, do i have to dunk then remove the crumb cup?
What if i'm a sip, dunk, repeat kind of person - I know an absolute monster but having to remove this constantly will be a PITA especially when i know its going to drip when i remove it from my cup.

In a perfect world this needs to some how keep the crumb soup away from my mouth while i sip and then be able to have it dunk again without having to remove it. It needs a way to fit all mug sizes and wrap around so i can actually get my mouth over the mug rim without looking like i'm trying to french kiss for the first time.

Are there different insert sizes? what if i have a big mug and i like big cookies? do i have to snap my cookie in half before i dunk it...

First world problems, but if i'm backing something it has to work well for everyone :)

Good luck!

Thank you all for the valid questions and I'll be sure to pass it on to Tim and see if we can include some Q&A lists and eventually add more videos of dunking and taking the cup out after use.

Also the spell/grammar checks. This is why its good to post here. Get real feedback to make the end product as flawless as possible.

Nothing is ever done flawlessly it takes hard work and dedication = Trial and Error.

To answer some questions asked here, please see below. The rest of the questions can be directed to Tim on his email address found on the funding page.

Q) Would be way more enticing if they showed more vigorous dunking and some accidental breaking of soft biscuits, and then skip to the last bit where they finish the drink and show how little mush remains in the cup after, and a promotional video of them brewing tea would make a lot of my friends really happy.
A) I have shown various things like this on social media which is linked on the campaign funding page.

Suggestion) A blog on how this idea came about and more information pertaining to why is Tim solution viable & affordable to all
Answer) I have tried to as much as possible explain how this came about in my campaign introduction. I have a growing social media presence on Facebook and Instagram, a blog could come next.
Suggestion) Proper high res photos from various angles to showcase - Selling point also product quality this is part is vital
Answer) I do have extremely high res images however the platform and various social media networks limit the size. I have added content on @crumb_cup insta and the Crumb Cup Facebook page which has various angles and the product in use.

Q) Also interested to know how i drink from the mug, do i have to dunk then remove the crumb cup?
What if i'm a sip, dunk, repeat kind of person - I know an absolute monster but having to remove this constantly will be a PITA especially when i know its going to drip when i remove it from my cup.
A) Yes, I know this is one that I have been asked about. I have addressed this and pinned it on my Facebook page, however: no, unfortunately, this is not really possible as the Crumb Cup in any format would then act like a little reservoir, whether I put a little sip slot in it or made a half cup version it would amount to having a small amount of liquid essentially held by the device and when tilted to sip it would pour over the top. But hey, perhaps if I get this one funded I can afford to hire some engineers far smarter than myself to work it out for us ;D
As for it making a mess, it is not as messy as you would think, I have made the mesh just open enough for it to drain very quickly. When my daughter uses it she does admittedly make a mess, but she makes a mess just dipping. What I do myself is put my cookies on a saucer and then put my Crumb Cup on that, completely minimizing any mess.

A) It does indeed fit all mug sizes, I have a Pic on insta that shows me putting it in 3 of the main mug shapes and sizes you will find on the market.

A) Unfortunately, there is a limit to the cookies, this was unavoidable to make it fit universally. I was going to make a video highlighting this but time and budget constraints did not allow.
I made the decision to make the Crumb Cup universally sized at the expense of having to snap the cookie, of course knowing that any residual crumbs would be kept at bay via the Crumb Cup.

A) Hey I very much understand, and am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to answer these questions!

Advice) "I am passionate about coffee and have am a qualified barista. "
Before letting content out, double..no triple check it; especially when it involves asking people for backing.
A) Sorry about that, completely slipped through the cracks! As a crowdfunding novice, I guess I was a little too excited about getting this out there. Coupled with the difficulty of the interface. Thank you for pointing this out and I will amend it on Monday when my project liaison is in the office.

Again feel free to his Tim up with more queries via email as well to receive direct and likely faster answers.
