Hi carbonites,

I am thinking about grabbing the following vertical mount for my GPU for the Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5:

https://www.rebeltech.co.za/15113-cooler-master-vertical-graphics-card-holder-mca-u000r-kfvb00.html

Which riser should I buy to make sure of the following:
  • Enough bandwidth and power is sent to the GTX1080 to not negatively affect it
  • Long enough to reach between the mount and the PCI-E of the Z370 Tomahawk motherboard?

Lastly, is there any risk to running the above mount and riser for a long time (forever)?

Bandwidth won't make a difference , well not form 16x-8x anyway.

The card only takes ~75W from the mobo's PCIe bracket, and AFAIR a SATA / molex connector handles upto ~170 & ~150W respectivly.

Re length, cut a strip out of paper and see roughly what kind of length you need. Sorry can't help with the other Q's.

You could face thermal issues. Depends how close to the side panel the card sits and whether it's a blower or open design
