Console to PC

It’s just about future proofing. He will manage with a 7700k on that board for sure but three to four years down the line it’s going to be upgrade time again.

Can’t see you maxing out any newer titles on that 3470. That thing is noah’s ark old now :p
Yeah, it is ancient.

I don't care about maxing out games though. I just care about being able to play a game, to experience it with decent quality and smooth playable gameplay. Plus I play mostly League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege and A bit of Fortnite recently. So not needing the latest and greatest processor.

I was using a GTX 550ti in this system until November 2017 when I bought the GTX 1050Ti

For now the board will do then? The board I can upgrade in a year or so? That'll be a new board and CPU?

Updated initial post with the items I bought and changed out. Now still some minor items to get and I will be all set :)

So PC is built...only issue is, I need to update the bios to support the CPU I bought. Is there anyone in or around benoni that may be able to assist with an 8th gen CPU? I'll bring beers [emoji16]

Looks awesome man. I would just strongly suggest turning all the fans around. That way you have the front two intake and the top and rear as exhaust.

Will do thanks, I front of the radiator there are another two fans as well.

Just so I follow,
- Radiator fans should blow into the case
- Top fans should extract air out of the case
- Rear fan should also extract air out

I think your fans are perfectly fine since your RAD is in the front - You want the hot air from the RAD to be pushed out of your case.

Also having 3 fans sucking air into the case and only 2 pushing out through the RAD, you will have good positive air pressure which should help the system to not be too dusty...

So the front fans should blow out. I have two you can see on the RAD and two in front of the case behind the cover, so that's 4 by the RAD. Is this too much or will this help in cooling?

As for the two top and one rear, will this not attract dust if it blows air into the case?

I swapped them around as per what @Toi said, so I'll just need to swap them back the other way as per what you advised.

Both ways are fine - I just prefer the hot air blowing out through the RAD

Evening all, just a question, I have the Deepcool Castle 240 RGB Liquid CPU Cooler and would like to connect it to the the mobo for the RGB control, now on the mobo it has a RGB header, but this is where I am uncertain, do I connect the fan header into this and what happens with the controller that came with the CPU cooler?

Quick question, I have two more Sapphire Nitro+ RX570s, was wondering what will be the outcome if I have two GPUs on my board? Will it make a difference in gaming or what?

Also, between the Sapphire Nitro+ RX570 4GB and the MSI RX570 4GB Gaming, which in your opinion is the better option?

Out of both cards I feel the Sapphire Nitro+ has the better cooling solution and is a great card.

The Gaming X looks slightly better from a gaming perspective and I think has a higher factory clock but I'd opt for the Nitro+, it also more silent from the reviews I've seen.

Question for the clever folks around here...the motherboard has a 5 pin RGB port and I have a set of the Gamdias fans but the RGB connection cable for the motherboard has only three input areas. Why would this be?? Also for the CPU Cooler it has a RGB cable but the colors on the cables differ from what I have found online, will this not damage the board?

Would it be best to ditch the Gamdias and deepcool fans and get a set that is compatible with the mobo?
