Yo, the webpage in your first post is dead - account suspended notice at the link...
Oh yes, sorry, I'm busy with some backend issues on my site. For some reason it's SUPER slow on my backend so it makes orders pretty hard to process from the site, so it's currently suspended. It'll probably be back up at the end of the month-ish.
Toxx is aware :)

I'll be spending some time over the weekend to try and fix it. It doesn't get much traffic anymore so it doesn't bug me all that much. Still have to get it up though, thanks for the reminders guys!

Alrighty, website seems to be back up and running, albeit with a few issues. Bump anyway!

Bump!

Also, guys, join me this Saturday, the 4th of December at NG Church in Valleisig, Pretoria, for a craft beer day. Cost is R110 per drinker, and R25 per non-drinker. Drinker receives a beer glass, a packet of hangover fixing stuff and access to all the beer he or she would like to drink. You can come vote for me on the day as well :p

Bump. Two kits (blonde ales) delivering today. Gets yours as a nice gift this festive season! Drink your own beer by new years!

Bump. Another Irish Red kit going out today.

I want to get one of yours, but want to use my own yeast and hops (dry-hop).

Would this one work fine with the Pale Ale wort (11g sachet)?

It would work just fine, yeah. Have you used Voss (or any Kveik yeast) before?

Yes, but I did not let it ferment enough, it seems it is a little bit slower than the one I used prior and needs a bit more time to mature. The entire batch tasted "yeasty" and got chucked.

Got the hop down 100%, going to use the Ekuanot hop, which should work fine with the profile of the yeast.

Weird. Kveik is super fast and super aggressive. I've used Voss as well and while I'm not a huge fan it'll work in an APA/IPA/NEIPA because of the flavours it imparts. Other options are Oslo (a liquid yeast as available now) and Lutra (expensive, but CLEAN). Let me know, you have my number :D

Yeah, the fermentation was fairly quick, but it seems the "cleanup" period is just as important. Hence I want to try it with yours and see what comes of it. There is great sleasure in chemistry/alchemy: its called beer. Sending order now.

My experience with Kveik is the same. Fermentation is fast, but it still takes time to clean up and condition.

Bump. Guys, my website is down on purpose (again), but I'm still making these :D

Bump! Another one being dropped off today!

Correct, it's off for now. I'll get it back up in the future, but the site doesn't bring traffic so it's offline for now.

Bump. Website is back up, albeit useless. I'm considering not renewing the domain this year and letting it lapse.

OK, so with a sad and heavy heart I'll be locking this thread soon. There's no more business in this venture and orders are one every 4 to 5 months, and it's not worth it for me to spend 4 to 5 hours on a brew only to make R250 of profit on the deal. It's simply not worth it to keep the equipment for this for myself, so I'll be selling most of what I have to scale down to something a bit smaller in footprint.

This will include my 50l brewing setup, as well as my 50l still I built to run what the 50l system produces. If there's interest, ask away.

I'll quite probably be closing down my website soon as well, so jump if you're interested in something.

:(

I might be keen on something on the equipment side, so let us know and I will see if I have space to have my own.

Waarmee brew jy op die stadium?

EDIT: Oh though this is a PM, sorry, but the question stands. You got my number, send me a WA :p

Bucket fermenter, but I don't have some of the things for the all-grain, so might be keen on some of I have space for it

Bucket fermenter you're going to have to keep. I'm not getting rid of my fermenters. I've got a 50l urn with a 1/2" ball valve fitted, modded to ignore the temp sensor to allow a better boil, as well as a 25l "boil bucket" to heat strike/sparge/step water with that I need to get rid of. It'll also go with some bowls and stuff I used, as well a bags for the large urn to mash/sparge in. I'm still in two minds about selling, since I have to sell the still as well (50l still, 3kW element with controller, etc.), and I'd prefer the lot to go together.
