COD: Black Ops 4

It’s our community that’s killing itself. A lot of players stop playing because they don’t enjoy getting their asses kicked all the time by some of the regulars. And we have a couple of world-class cuntheads in the COD community as well. It’s a damn shame really because the game was incredibly fun in those first few months. It’s the best multiplayer COD game in a very long time.

Ofcourse it doesn’t help when your playerbase isn’t as big as EU or US where the ratio of average exceeds the ratio of skilled and pro players by far. With our small playerbase we actually have a large amount of skilled to pro level players constantly playing, making the bad to average players abandon the game as a result of the low amount of fun they get out of it.

That’s where CS competitive matchmaking is at least a little smarter.

Here’s to hoping MW4 (which seems most likely to be the next COD) won’t die that easily.

I don't think I'll buy the next COD but we'll see, like you said those first like 3 months I had an absolute blast. I would still be having a blast if it didn't die.

I didn't know a thing about modern COD when I bought it and then I learned stuff, I got Dark Matter and Prestige Master and I can definitely understand people leaving the game because they get destroyed day in day out. There was this one person that friended me for a couple of days and that person didn't go positive once.

Every match in BO4 would be pretty much one of two things, both teams will have one or two good players and somewhere in the mix one insane player or one team has that insane player and that team wins every single map no matter what.

If it is indeed Modern Warfare 4 and they do away with specialist abilities and equipment I think we'll have a bigger playerbase. Modern Warfare 2 and 3 took years before it died.

Most of my ex-DGL teammates stopped playing because of the specialist stuff. And the poor noobs get completely trashed once the good players start using getting specialist equipment and abilities.

Stuff like the flamethrower, vision pulse etc are just way too OP when players actually have good aim and reactions.

I remember in BO3 I went 65 - 2 once with that vision pulse and I'm not pro-level good. The age is catching up.

I didn't even get to experience the bare bones playlist, by the time that came out our player base on PC was probably less than 50.

It's sad to think but when all the good players left the game probably became super fun for the casual players and matches were probably much more balanced.

I was thinking of installing the game again to try the no specialist playlist but from what I’m hearing I don’t have much hope to find any games. Too bad. For the first few months I was getting games early afternoons until early mornings. Spent many nights playing until almost 3AM.

Hopefully the humble deal can attract more players.

Probably not a major factor but perhaps it doesn’t help the game either that it moved to Battle.net where the games are insanely expensive. Specials on Battle.net most of the time are what the games used to cost on Steam.

shouldnt the game matchmake to other servers if it doesnt find any games on local servers?

so who here actually still plays? Its fun and all but have a 150gb sized game just for tdm is really not that awesome, I can't find anything else and am starting to see why this game has a dying base, I really want to try blackout but can't find a game...

You might be able to find Blackout games if you VPN to EU other than that it's TDM.

I haven’t played in months. But when I last played, I was able to play on EU servers over VPN. Np other than the 200 ping.

Ah ok,remeber for some reason when i tried the game on pc i had to kill my vpn first even if it wasn't on.Could have been some other weird thing though.

The weirdest thing BO4 on PC did was refuse to launch if you had AutoHotkey running.

No error message or anything, it just looked like the game crashed immediately, took me a good few minutes to figure that out.

Wish I could say COD was the only thing on PC doing this kind of thing.

I'm very close to the point of selling all my PC stuff and just playing on my PS4. It's 2019 but I swear I struggle more now than I did in 1999. It's just endless nonsense getting stuff to run properly and when I get it right there are cheaters everywhere in every game.

Currently fighting Battlefield 5, which just open and closes immediately with no error. On both my desktop and laptop. Can't even.
