Hi guys does anyone know of a good place with reasonable cnc rates in Cape Town.
We get ripped off so badly in Cape Town, I got a few quotes in CT and would you believe that on average Jhb is 30% cheaper. I actually feel like having it done in Jhb just to not give these guys the business.

So if anyone has 1 or knows someone who will give me a reasonable price please let me know.

Have you tried Kestrel Routing in Cape Town?
Used them a while back to cut out some letters and such, service was quite good and price was reasonable if I remember correctly

I need some perspex routed.
Kestrel actually 1 of the most expensive.

well you may get ripped off with pricing on this, but at least places in CPT actually want work

battled my butt off to get something done and ended up asking a CPT metal place to do it

so what particularly why does it need to be CNC'd? chamfers? angles?

damn ok, didn't think their pricing was too bad, problem I have in Nelspruit is everyone is so damn slow.
shipping these days is actually cheap, so if you can get it done for much less in Jhb then I say go for it

@Off-The-Chart
All of the above with hole tapping ect.
Do you perhaps have the number for the metal shop u used

unfortunately they just do the main work, like bending and cutting

they were first place I asked if they could CNC because I knew I would get a proper part :(

if I were you I would just get it done in JHB

I battled for a year to find a place that could do something I wanted and then when I finally gave up, I found 1 place, at the time I didn't need/want the work done anymore :(

what ticks me off even more is, when you find a place that states they could do something you want, let's say chamfering only to be told oh but the specs you want it done to, isn't possible

THere is a small place near a client of mine called Itz Van Allez , they have a CNC machine and do TONs of wooden bits and bobs, numbers, letters, etc etc etc. Try them.
