Item: CM Storm QuickFire XT Mechanical Keyboard
Age: ~6 years, still excellent
Price: R1500 with cable and Tai-Hao keycaps
Payment Method Accepted: Cash/Instant EFT
Warranty: nope
Packaging: I'll pack it securely for shipping. Original packaging has been lost.
Condition: Excellent
Location: Cape Town
Reason: Too many keyboards in my collection
Shipping: Postnet to Postnet, cost on you
Collection: Even better. I work in Wynberg
Link: Quick Fire XT | Cooler Master
I need to downsize my collection, and unfortunately my first ever keyboard needs to go.
It's a pretty basic keyboard when it comes to functionality, but the build quality is great. I've made it even better by swapping out the caps for Tai-Hao Cubic Profile doubleshots (ABS), and putting together a custom cable for it - it's not easy to find USB A male to male cables, but I wanted something to match the keycaps.
It's got Cherry MX Reds, and I'll admit they're as scratchy as you'd expect for stock Reds. I did lube all the stabilizers, and those sound good now.
I'm sure someone will have a great time using it. I can drop the price by quite a lot if you take it without the cable and the Tai-Hao caps. I don't have the original cable, but I do have the original caps.
