Hi fellow Carbies,

Exciting times ahead, I have another client build to share with you all! :)

The name of this build is Project NGC1491, which is named after the NGC1491 emission nebula in the Perseus constellation (around 10 000 light years away), and emits a blue colour.

The blue that it emits is very close to the EK CryoFuel Solid Azure Blue coolant that I'll be using for this build.

Hardware list and images to follow this evening...

Specs list for this project

Intel Core i9-10980XE
ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Omega
ASUS Dual RTX2080Ti-011G SLI
Corsair Dominator Platinum 128GB (8*16GB) DDR4-3200MHz
Corsair AX1600i
Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVMe SSD x2
Samsung 980 Pro 2TB NVMe SSD x2
Lian-Li PC-09 WX

For the next update I'll show the EKWB parts we'll be using for this machine!

Update time!

We have some really nice EKWB items for the build.

Just love the look on new blocks, much shiny!

We'll be using 2x EKWB Coolstream SE 360mm rads.

As the customer is an avid EKWB fan (pun intended), he's also gone with EKWB's Vardar Evo RGB 120ERs.

I hope you are excited as I am for this build, looking forward to posting more updates soon.

Hi everyone!

I know it's a been a while, I've been busy working on my CNC getting it back up and running again, replaced the bed so that it has more accuracy and more clamping spots, setup a mini pc so it's an independent machine and I had a new z-probe fitted.

In the meantime, I'd like to share with you the sleeving that we've had made by @Beyond Customs for this project using MDPC-X.

Hoping to have some more updates and my plan for the loop real soon.

Hi all,

Hope everyone's doing well.

I'd like to share some early designs I'm working on for the front distro plate of this build, hoping to have some solid updates soon with the finished product! :D

Looks neat, good workmanship.

But why so much piping, it looks messy. Maybe that's what he wants, but not for me. Only 90 deg bends otherwise they must all bend together.

Thanks!

Customer wanted something different.

I wanted to also make something that looked organic in a way. :)

Ok, interesting to see if the lighting makes a difference. I also think a different, more open, less square, case would have the organic thing work a bit better.

1 MAJOR issue

why is that render not transparent transparent? :p

acetal? you know the price on that right?

Out of interest is SLI still a big thing in gaming? Will this be used for gaming or something else?

SLI isn't popular with gaming, but the customer wanted to build a monster system.

As I understand, will be used as a gaming machine primarily.

I've now finally got my CNC back up and running again with all of the updates done (upgraded bed, z probe, independent mini PC, mounted monitor, etc.).

I'm grateful for the help from JP Modified & Alex banks from BitTech for their guidance and tips on best practices.

Below are results from my trial runs, dialing in the settings to ensure proper spacing, seal and overall process when doing a distro plate.

More updates coming and latest design of the actual distro plate that will be going in this build.

Hi all,

Hope everyone's doing well.

I've completed the first attempt and checked out my measurements, still need some further updates on the design then I'll be testing the second version.

Just want to share the overall look of what to expect for the distro plate on this build, I'm very excited to get it completed and filled! :D

Hi all!

It's about time for a long overdue update on this build.

Due to issues I was facing with my CNC trying to mill the final version of the distro plate, I had to outsource the milling to Jesse at JPModified, he did an amazing job on the cut and it seals perfectly.

Below are the updates on the machine!
