Well hello there

This will be my online project log, as a break from my studies. My upteenth computer I'm putting together, but the first time I'm going for a sort of custom build / modding and so on.

Fair warning, it won't be very flashy, as I definitely prefer minimalism, but well, lets see shall we?

Parts: Intel Core i7-4770K, EVGA GeForce GTX 770, Corsair 750D - System Build - PCPartPicker

Intel 4770k, Ultracooled by Vivi
Thermaltake Extreme 3.0 AIO water cooler
Asrock Z87 OC Formula (---> this probably needs to become a Asus ROG Maximus VI something, probably extreme or impact. Not really sure)
16gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 26666mhz (2x8gb)
EVGA 770GTX ACX cooler, 4gb (---> this probably needs to become a 780ti, will see how my bitcoins do :p)
Samsung Pro 256gb SSD
Western Digital Green 3tb storage drive
Corsair 750d
Seasonic 760w Platinum modular with black sleeved cabling
Dell 27" 1440p U2713HM (x2 possibly)
A rat and a keyboard

A few disclaimers:
As quite a few of my components got nabbed by the thieves, I have had to make do with a color combo that doesn't 100% work currently.

I was initially hoping to go for a fairly understated build, with color scheme of Black-Sanguine-Gold
With the black being the majority, the sanguine (black-red color) being the offset, and the gold being a highlight here and there.
The sanguire color I was going for was something like this

Will see if we can get anywhere near that.

This will be a SLOW blog, since I'm actively studying for my plastics board exam.

So pictures should be up by Monday/Tuesday of all the Cuddies collected together
And then soon thereafter for a basic working build

Hopefully within the month the cable sleeving will be completed. Although I'm hellova OCD. SO probably not in a month. But lets see.

Then it will probably stand for a while, until my etching of my 750d window's design is complete
Plan is to laser edge it with the golden ratio theme

For those that don't know what the golden ratio is =-) Stay tuned
If I don't get moderated too badly, I'll illustrate it with some patient photos, else I will just use some sketches. Essentially the concept is fascinating, and one of my pet interests. It essentially claims all beauty is mathematics, and that there exists a perfect ratio to balanced appearance. I can tell you from personal experience, that faces, breasts, bums, hands, teeth etc all follow this ratio.

Right back on topic
Window etching will be done probably laser or acid based, and would aim to reflect the perfect ratio.
I just need to sit down and do some graphic design again, or pay someone a lot better than me -- here's looking at loko :p
Then some soft lighting and eventually after a long long long .... long study session

By the end of next year, I will be switching to full custom loop

If anyone has any input, ideas etc feel free

Specifically looking for some advice regarding fans, etching of windows lasercutting stuff and so on. I have a dremel here somewhere as well... but busy moving house. I'm sure it will turn up.

Righto,
Feel free to tell me I'm nuts, or that my parts are all over the place. Half the fun is learning, the other half is playing =-)

PS. My wife thinks I'm nuts for taking photos of pc parts.... I suggested I could take some other photos..... so now I'm left alone =-)
