Hey,

I was thinking about the possibility of chrome plating a PC case, more specifically, the Node 202.
I'm also thinking of cutting an area above the CPU to fit a larger (but still low-profile) cooler like the Noctua NH-L12 - this should give it an I don't know what I'm doing kinda look 😅

At the moment these are just thoughts and would appreciate anyone's input.

Has anyone here ever done that before (chrome plating or something similar) and if so know of a place that could (definitely) assist?
I have emailed a few places here in CPT just to check but thought I'd see if anyone here had any knowledge on this.

I bought two cases so I could mod one and keep the other stock.

go and buy a can of Rustoleum paint and test it on one of the panels and see how you like it :)

Thanks, will consider it. Might not actually go the chrome route. I'm entertaining the idea more than anything else for now.
Also thinking of a brushed aluminium look, but who knows for now, haha.

So basically along these lines:

Sheeeeht, maybe that's too chrome, haha

Was thinking more along the lines of this type of chrome or what's possible on plastic (as the Node 202's top shell is plastic)?!

I'm looking for advice on what's possible as I have no idea when it comes to coating, spraying, etc on different materials...

You get a brushed / shiny chrome vinyl from 3m, best option.
