I just saw that makro has the KingMax SMV 240GB @ R600
That's looks really cheap for an SSD.
Quick Google / YT search shows the read/write/4k speeds are ok... obviously waaaaaaay better than the HDD I have now.
I don't really know very much about PC hardware, but I did try some quick research and found that dram-less SSDs are not well regarded ... but looking at the info available, I can't tell if this SSD has dram or not ... although they do mention "SLC caching technology" on the KingMax website... so does that mean it does have DRAM?
Just trying to see where's the catch here ... or if this really is a good deal.
In case it's useful at all: I want the SSD for my home PC used for streaming, browsing, and media consumption... so I don't wanna spend any more than R600 (... unless someone has an SSD that's 1000000x better for R650 )
