Depends if your laptop supports both M.2 format and NVMe which is one of two different types of M.2

Hi . Your laptop only takes 2.5" SATA drives ,so you will need to get one of those. You should seriously consider getting more Ram . You are running out of Ram and once that happens everything comes to a halt.

Agree, you should look at getting a 2.5" SSD and atleast 4GB more RAM. Both will help you speed up your laptop for a relatively cheap price.

I know...this is a home based laptop. The difficulty is that it takes specific Ram as well. Max 8GB Aspire ES1-531 ES-Series memory upgrades (RAM) 1600MHz, 1,35V
