So I stumbled on a video by Donut Media in which they basically promote Ceramic Pro, but within that video they explain all the ways that you can clean and protect your car.

Now my car is a bird shit magnet. Like... You don't understand. I have to wash my car at least 3 times a week since they literally fly during traffic to come and hit my car with seed bombs.

So has anyone gotten a ceramic coating on their car before and hows the experience with that?

Any other advice in avoiding those damned beasts droppings.

The ceramic coating works like a bomb, as long as you prep correctly.
It will make cleaning much easier, but also take note that the coating will wear and will need to be applied again in about 12 to 18months or so depending on how many times you wash the car.

I'm looking at going to a place so that they'll apply it for for me.

Just give your car a good wax now and then.

I'd say give it a good wax / sealant (Collinite, Fusso etc) with proper prep (wash, clay etc) every +-6 months. (Good quality wax should last about this long.)
For the weekly bird poop wash, if you've got a high pressure cleaner, get a foam cannon + prefoam.

Foam the car, let it sit, zap it clean with the high pressure and dry off with using a quick detail spray.
The prefoam soak should soften up all the crud so it can be blasted off without actual washing, I just like drying off with the quick detail spray as it leaves your car shiny without streaks.

Ceramic coating works like a charm, It is very expensive though.

Prep work before a ceramic coat would be a full polish, because putting the coating on will seal in all the defects, like scratches swirl marks etc.

Just for the coating, without a polish or application is about R2k, takes about 2 hours to apply. and lots can go wrong.

So for a coating and polish you looking around R8k, obviously depending on the size of your car. But it worth every drop. makes it super shiny
