@CecilRobson and @HP18, please report in.

CecilRobson you sold a phone, advertised as "excellent, not a scratch anywhere" and also with "yes everything" for packaging. Upon arrival, phone is scratched to bits (I saw the pics) and with a fake charger and without accessories. When asked for a refund you only offer in part.

Please respond ASAP and clarify what's going on here.
 
Hi. Yes I did send him photos, and I did attach the photos on the post aswell. The original box and original phone is included as this is what I thought he meant. I have all the chats saved on my phone aswell. The phone is not scratched it has micro scratches and is exactly as posted. He must not come and ask me for a refund 2 days after receiving the parcel and thanked me for it and also already left feedback on the post aswell. Not my problem anymore. He put on feedback already and said to me way later he wants a refund. Whatsapp me and I will send all the chats. He cant get the price he is looking for because he is a reseller now he wants to make it my problem. Unluckily for him the cash is long gone as soon as he gave me feedback. Im curious to see what will happen.

Here you can see what a '' micro scratch " is. I will send him an original iphone charger. As I did not know he meant that. But it was damn clear on the photos and also he had enough time to look at the phone as it got to him before he gave feedback.

Around 9 am received feedback. Saterday evening he said to me he wants a refund and that he is not happy. It is not my negligence if he did not open the package before thanking me and giving feedback. I do a ton of deals on Carb and I love the site and I never had something like this. My photos is clear and Im a straight up guy. Will wait to see what happens. But a refund from my side will not be given. He had more than enough time as the parcel was already delivered on Friday.

He mentioned to me he did the Feedback rating before looking at the phone or opening the parcel. To be honest the pictures you posted on your ad did not show the micro scratches - of which there are a lot. The ad posted "excellent" condition but I don't see the condition of that phone as "excellent". Specially the back of the phone looks like it has a lot of scratches and scuff marks from long-time use. Like so:

I'm not looking to start a fight or anything but obviously the buyer is not happy, and I can see why.

Final point - if you do a ton of deals on Carbonite, where are your feedback ratings? You only have 4?
 
I also don't want to start a fight. Im new on carbonite still. But I've sold and bought a few things. I don't nag people everytime to leave feedback etc maybe I should start. I got new feedback yday. Anyway! Off topic.

My point is if you receive a parcel you should check immediately. Because he thanked me and left feedback. I use money that I make to pay my studies. So it goes into my studies immediately.

Negligence is on the side of him for not letting me know as soon as he received the parcel and already thanked me etc. I cannot smell that he had not opened the package yet.

Like I said I will send him my original charger if it is an issue further on. But a full refund will not be given.

You have to see both sides of a story. The buyer can't always just be right.
 
Correct. In my opinion you're defending yourself based on the feedback given, not the condition of the item advertised. That's not on. You advertised the phone as "excellent not a scratch anywhere". It's not "excellent". It's covered in scratches. Your packaging also said "yes everything" but definitely does not contain everything. I can see why he's upset. I'll await @HP18's input after this.

PS: Remember feedback ratings can be changed. And yes, you should DEFINITELY demand that people give you feedback ratings. It's important.
 
Cool I have no hard feelings. Unfortunately like I said I dont have cash in hand anymore as I transfered it to my student bill as soon as I got the heads up from him ( feedback ) but for his loss I will advertise the phone again as is and see if I can get that money back for him aswell. 5.5k for a 256gb iphone 7 is a bargain so should not be to difficult.
 
As is usual with all my deals, I always ask a standard question before purchasing an item: "And just to confirm about the phone, box and all original accessories, no marks or scratches, fingerprint sensor works, no other issues?" Cecil replied via vn that all was correct.

The micro and macro scratch thing is a technicality that he's using to evade how he described the item. If he knew about the micro scratches before hand, why not post it as such?
On this point, see one of my Note 8 Sale threads (using a phone at the moment, so difficult to link). I referred to scratches that could not be seen.

And 'original packaging' always refers to accessories that would have been there when purchasing an original. No two ways about it.
 
No problem. Send me photos of the phone in your hands on whatsapp or post them here showing all the scratches etc. I will advertise again and get your money back. Because you are making the scratches sound like cracks as you are going on.

I agree with the back. Using super lightning though😂😂will sell the phone and pay back as soon as possible. Screen is in perfect condition. Working the angles to make it look as bad as possible.
 
Seems to be sorted. Someone on their way to buy the phone. Im paying the rest into his account. Will update as soon as @HP18 is happy
