Yo guys, so I'm planning an out door grow in some 20l fabric pots, perlite Coco. Waiting for spring, early summer. Thing is, I'm planning on using powder nutes. Guru mix a, b and mkp. It seems a lot more cost effective, and from my limited research, the bottled name brand nutes are the exact same thing, just mixed and slightly coloured. Seems like a rip off. Advice?

Also, can someone with experience take a look at my check list?
Perlite 15l
Coco 5kg brick
3x fabric pots 20l
Guru mix a,b and mkp
Cal mag
Ph and TDs meter
Ph up and down
Planning on using plain old Joburg tap water, cause broke.

Anything else I might need?

Don't use TDS (PPM) use EC
Planning on using plain old Joburg tap water, cause broke. Nothing wrong its just hard water but you will need to dechlorinate.

Bottles nutes generally have stabilizers and other chemicals in to prevent mold growing inside. power nutes are better for sure.
However GH nutes are fantastic and they are liquid only for coco.

I was thinking something along the lines of this Rc4JxnRaHAaMwwhXyksOPgF5icnKfVCzC9IM7E6dUhfTBTeoaAh81EALw_wcB
Are the stabilizers maybe added to keep the liquid from going bad? I genuinely can't find a reason to buy bottled shit. Does the ppm matter at all? I must admit, doesn't most of my research time focusing on ph and the other things, I figured I could research nutes and shit more when the time came. Thanks for that quick respone.

Link didn't copy. Just google hortimix a and b. Hydroponics.co.za is selling it for 100 or something.

On a side note, what do you guys think of growing out door autos? Chances of polination are relatively low considering the wild plants won't flower til Easter time

Howzit guys, my mate has grown an autoflower Pineapple Express outdoor in a fabric pot. Its been around 3 months and the plant is flowering, please have a look and how much more time it needs? Don't have the exact date he planted.

I know I won't get an accurate estimate as you can't see the colour of the trichomes but a general estimate would be cool.

Thanks in advance

Autoflowers are generally ready within a 90 day grow period. I would give this another week at leat till you start seeing the leaves start yellowing.
He should start flushing the plant now.

I agree with Sub-lime Sub-lime . Give no more nutrients if any was being given. So just to be clear - feed only pH'd water until you chop

It is really up to you and the yield you want, Flowing stage will add around 35% bulk to the plant but you will need to increase nutrients and lighting.

Just an FYI, buying cannabis seeds is illegal, while personally i don't think it's a fair law and somewhat contradictory; it is the law and we must abide by it.

While i'm at it il share some law that's not set in stone but cases have been based on these "figures". Dont hold me to these figures, go google recent cases on the charges and outcome.

- 3 Plants max
- No more than 100g of cannabis (wet, dry, trimmed. It makes no difference to the officer) - the law states 115g afaik but 100g is more than enough (unless your'e making oil which the law really has not taken into account)
- No buying of seeds or cannabis with THC in any form (flower, dabs, oils, tinctures, rosin, shatter, vape, keef.. and so on )
* the law has said CBD products are legal for trade however i would be very careful as these laws have not been perfected and you might see yourself in a bad situation unknowingly.
- Do not distribute (includes family, friends, the girl you want to impress) any finished product, clone or seed.

The laws are mostly based on cultural acceptance for example the Rastafarian culture has always has cannabis be a part of their culture.

If you're growing and maybe a little more than the above id suggest you keep it to yourself and take note that the men in blue are not daft, it is a hot topic and they are actively cracking down on anyone who breaks the law. Google for yourself, recently 2 aunties growing (a lot) in their backyard and got charged with 12 years.
