Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

Maybe cross play wont be that bad. A few guys have said the footage seen at E3 seemed slower and more tactical.

More enjoyable and fun for you. Not for the guy still trying to line you up from long range while you instantly ice him with your easy mouse snap and recoil control.
Then by all means, increase controller aim assist as soon as k&m is detected. That should help make things more fair? And looking at some BO4 vids one youtube, those controllers have quick scope pretty damn easy, so there's that.

Problem is aim assist is something you have to get used to. It "sticks" to a target for a very specific amount of time (around half a second is my feeling) and then lets go. If you suddenly up that 25% when you are aiming at a KB player it's going to throw you off a lot. So I don't think that's really a solution.

Quickscoping...is a difficult topic. I am a sniper main and can tell you that quickscoping consistently to actually compete with regular guns is hard. Very, very hard. There are only a handful of guys in the whole of SA that do this at a very high level (I am not one of them). You can't go by what Pamaj and Spratt and those guys do on Youtube. They have been sniping only for at least 10 years and have tens of thousands of hours of experience. That is not at all representative of the normal console player base.

Can Jev compete with a PC player? Yes. Can 99% of the other snipers on console? No.

The fact of the matter is that controllers and MKB are just fundamentally so different that they should never mix. In my opinion (having played thousands of hours on both ends) there is absolutely no way of balancing it to make them compatible.

 I know and feel you, and not in a sexual way, but I just want a COD that isn't dead after a few months. But at the same time want to be able to use a mouse and keyboard....
Guess ill have to start training with the controller against bots:cautious:

Well the only reason I play on PS4 is because PC just dies so quickly. I started at the beginning of WW2.

I'd say it took me 20 hours to get comfortable with the controller, and about 100 getting decent. This is after tens of thousands of hours on PC shooters.

At the end of WW2 and about 250 hours I was pretty good, getting top score on lobbies with relative frequency.

Started sniping early on in BO4 and have been doing mostly that. About 500 hours in and am pretty good now, but still lots of room for improvement.

Overall I am very proficient with the controller now. I can get top score in lobbies more often than not if I use regular guns and go a bit tryhard.

So the transition can be made, but it takes quite a bit of time and you have to tough out the bad early times.

How long after release does the console playerbase die? Or can games be found a year after release like back in BO2 days?

I still play every night. Mostly TDM, but other modes also available in peak times.

I've never waited longer than 30 seconds for a lobby since launch. Also, I don't see the same names all that often so the PS4 player base is enormous. With cross play on Xbox it will be even better. But I honestly think there will be almost no takers for PC cross play on MKB.

Anyone have any feedback regarding games during the day, like between 8am and 4pm? Easy finding games?

So now that more game play footage has been revealed, what is everyone's opinion?

I am so keen for this and from the footage shroud and Doc and all of them played at the event, it looked like cross play as some guys had controllers and others had Keyboards and mouse. I do stand under correction here though.

Yes some people were playing with controllers vs PC people. I think that was just to show off the feature though, on launch you will be able to filter out the MKB people if you are on console.

Game looks great. Though I think the gunsmith thing will ultimately be a waste of time. Within a week everyone will know the exact best attachment combo for each gun and nothing else will be used.

Speaking of, I noticed something, during the killcam you can press a button to copy the person that killed you's loadout.

Have other CODs ever had that?

All I want to know is will it have local 2 players on PC. Becuz we have the power but they don't give it to us. And party modes from day 1. #infected

Modern Warfare 2 had that. Called "Copy Cat" perk that you had to add to your loadout

I don't see something like that listed as any of the perks for this, I think this is basically you think I beat you because my loadout is better, prove it.

Basically the premise of the 2v2 mode as well.

They are incorporating some previous perks as standard in MW. In BO4 you need sight loader to reload while ADSing, which is apparently standard in MW. Guess this is the same thing.

Do you guys think the local PC player base will fair a good amount better than the previous CODs?

Especially due to the cross-platform?

Doubt it, it never really lasts on PC. Console lasts the whole cycle though.

You all assuming the console versions don't have native mouse and keyboard support :p

They should have just released a remaster of MW2, more maps, perks, emblems, call signs and guns.

One can only dream.

Imagine if they remade GTA SA with the GTA V/VI engine, people would go bananas.

Yeah that's what I meant.. Don't you reckon the comp community on console will smack the pc guys? There's guys on console playing at an extremely high competitive level
And I think aim assist is a real advantage

Not even close, when BO4 came out I watched a lot of the tournaments on Twitch with the best of the best and they wouldn't last even in a local PC lobby.

I'm obviously PC biased but the difference in speed between PC and console is massive, it would be like entering formula one in a BMW sedan.

Definitely, the two can't even be compared. But this is still cod though, I've played almost every cod on console and on pc, console always feels easier to aim beacuse of the aim assist.
All I'm saying is if there's cross platform and you get paired up with some of the energy or bravado dudes im sure anybody on pc would get smacked. Not to mention all the other 16 year old kids on console with lightning reactions that dont miss a bullet :)

I welcome them.

From what I've seen thought MW this time has very aggressive aim assist so I think they do want to encourage people to cross play.
