Hows the campaign?
I only ever buy COD and BF for the campaigns pretty much
Same. Replayed Black Ops 1 last week to catch up on the story and been playing the campaign this afternoon, I think I've almost halfway. The game is okay, not amazing but okay.
The story seems interesting so far. The main focus is on the new characters but you still see Mason and Woods quite a bit.
It's disappointing how they haven't used them more. I like Adler, the other 3 new people just seem like padding tbh.
As a fan of the original Black Ops, it's a huge shame that they didn't use any of the original voice actors. The voices for Mason and Hudson are so different, at least Frank Woods new voice actor tries his best. But come on Treyarch, treat us Black Ops fans better...
Not liking all the sneaking around in campaign. This isn't Splinter Cell, I want to skop skiet en donner without penalties.
Not a fan of them giving you the choice of capturing or killing your main targets, I would prefer they control the story more directly by forcing you to kill certain ones or forcing you to capture others and use that more in the story to build a narrative because you know the person you capture isn't going to feature much in the rest of the game since other players could've killed them.
Graphics are not amazing either, Modern Warfare looked better IMO and it ran faster.
The Raytracing is nice on the sun shadows but it's a huge performance loss.
Oh and not being to add sharpening via the Nvidia Control Panel sucks. It causes massive lighting issues.
Disappointing as the game really needs some sharpening (or even better, a sharpening filter in-game) because it's just a blur fest.
Atleast DLSS works, 15% better performance and looks even better as the game is sharper with it on because the normal SMAA is just so kak.
So yeah that's my 2c. Will finish it and replay BO2 one last time to wrap things up.
