Hi Gents

My 9 year old PC has started failing and is finally in need of replacement.

Primarily used for programming, gaming and data science.

budget ~R20k

Current PC:

CPU: i7 2700K (non-overclocked)
MOBO: Gigabyte P67-UD4-B3
RAM: G-Skill Sniper 2x8GB DDR3 1866MHz CL10 (new)
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
STORAGE: 4x random 120GB SSDs (i know...)
MONITOR: Generic 24" monitor
PSU: 850W, but likely end-of-life by now

New PC:

CPU: AND Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core 3.7Ghz... I'll upgrade to a much more powerful ryzen 9 CPU in the future
MOBO: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra Motherboard / MSI X570 Tomahawk....this might be overkill but also not looking to skimp
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 2x16GB CL16 1.35V...with the idea that I'll drop in another 2x16GB in the future
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
STORAGE: Mushkin Pilot-E 1TB NVMe (PCIe 3) SSD...dont know if a PCIe 4 is worth it...the idea is to drop in another 1TB NVMe in the future
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm...bulk storage
PSU: Fractal Design Ion Gold 750W Fully modular PSU...this should give enough headroom for one of the high-end CPU + GPU upgrade in the future
CASE: Fractal Design Meshify C....im really not a fan of RGB, I'd prefer no window but also not willing to have a non-front mesh panel case for airflow
CPU Cooler: keep Phanteks PH-TC12 or get a AIO Fractal Design 360mm Celsius S36
MISC: 2x phanteks 140mm PWM fans

GPU: Keep the GTX 1060 for now, upgrade once the shortage blows over
MONITOR: Keep the same until upgrade GPU...new will definitely be 144Hz (for shooters) and PROBABLY 1440p (although I'm not sure if its worth needing to poes myself on expensive GPUs)
Id like to get this Dell S2721DGFA 27" monitor (or equivalent when the time comes)

That's... pretty much a perfect build tbh. I doubt you'd need a 360mm AIO for a 5600X, the PH-TC12 should be fine, or if you're keen for an AIO a 240mm should be plenty (e.g. the Fractal S24).
