Hello guys and girls.
Have a few questions please as i am building a rig soon.
1. Is there anywhere else in the US i can buy stuff except Amazon and NewEgg? I have someone coming down from New York in December who offered to bring down parts for me. Not massive parts, just mobo, CPU, cooler etc.
2. Graphics cards - GDDR5 vs GDDR6. Whats the diff? Is a 6GB GDDR6 card better than say a 8/11GB GDDR5 card? The board I am buying will support PCI-E 4.0 so I'd like to maximise that. It appears that only the 5700XT supports PCI-E 4? I dunno. Very confused with all this and browsing on this Celeron Laptop is, at best, slow. So filtering and checking and browsing are just not very quick right now.
3. Buying a x570 board, Perhaps an AMD 2700x and Corsair RGB Pro 16GB. Will upgrade to 32GB a bit later on. I see some people prefer 4 sticks of 8GB and some go 16GB x 2. Big difference? Also, I obviously want to get the highest mhz ram i can, but i am just way to much of a Corsair fanboy to stray onto other brands. So I am stuck at about 3200Mhz right now. Is that half decent for a build?
4. Warranty from said suppliers. If I need to return say a motherboard, Do I have to pay shipping both ways or can it be RMA'd locally somewhere?
5. Corsair PSU's .... What size will run a decent gfx card and some other normal things like hard drives etc? 850W enough? And then the RM/RMx/AX etc ones. The "i" ones are drawing my attention because you can monitor them, but is that really so important?
Thanks!
