Interesting story. This NUC was used in our company as a desktop PC. The CPU fan on this model started giving issues. We originally bought it from Rectron. I took it back on Friday to have a look at the CPU fan and they replaced it with a brand new unit. It's still in the original box and everything. I opened the box to install the memory I took out from the previous one.

Note, this model does not actually come with any RAM nor a drive, you have to install that. However, as a courtesy, I'm selling this one with RAM.

When did you buy the original unit? Warranty carries on from original date & does not start from scratch if the unit is replaced.

@souljazk NUCs have a three year warranty. The unit was replaced with a brand new sealed one. Whether or not the warranty from the old unit carries over or not, I don't know. My assumption was that the new unit would also have a 3-year warranty.

Rather don't assume, it might come back to haunt you

I know for a fact that the warranty does *not* start over if the unit is replaced. Good to find out when the original unit was bought, so an accurate reflection of the remaining warranty can be provided. Rectron can always confirm the exact date.
