Do you know whether this is covered by Samsung South Africa?

I've been looking at these as well on Amazon USA and contacted Amazon support today and I was informed that after the 30-day return window I would have to deal directly with Samsung USA for any warranty claims and I've read on Samsung's forums that you cannot courier directly to Samsung USA. They only accept items from people inside the US.
