Hi All
im hoping someone here can assist me.
i have an old boxee Box, that was made by D Link wayback. its basically a linux box and works perfectly.

so i used to have Boxeehacks on it. and recently had to format it because it wasn't working properly.

so here is my situation.
currently have boxee running, with Boxee hacks on it - all work not a problem
goal - have boxee running but with XMBC on it from the internal storage.

problem - there are guides on the net about running XBMC (Kodi) from a flash drive - i have tried and for some reason i cannot get this to work. this would be the next best option

i used to be able to run a script off the internet that would pull the files run the install and reboot and everything was there as i wanted.
the problem is these servers are no longer up and running and therefore this will need to be done manually.

currently i can access the boxee via Telnet, but i have no idea about how to get XBMC onto the device or to make it run, and was hoping a member on here would be able to assist me.

i have a basic knowledge of doing some stuff but this is beyond my know how

if you in cape town, im happy to sponsor beer or bill me, but lets chat, otherwise lets do it remotely
id really like to get this up and running rather then toss it, as its a really nice unit.

id like xbmc in order to run IPTV on it.

please PM me
much appreciated

Hi,

I had no clue what you were talking about and had to a do a bit of Googling and this site seems to have quite a comprehensive set up guide:

Did you come across it in your internet scouring?

Like the gent above, i had no idea what this was lol.... anyway, maybe just double check the file system that the memory stick is formatted in and make sure to copy the the contents of the xbmc folder to the root directory of the memory stick and not the folder itself
