Hi guys

Putting my car up for sale on here first, before heading for "wider distribution" channels like scamtree. Basically the car is epic but my wife and I have found a house we like (and we desperately need to move) BUT we need to reduce our expenses, so the car is up for sale. :/

Make/Brand: Blik Met Wiele
Color: Estoril Blue
Year: 2013
Odometer reading: 29,5xx right now
Warranty: Balance of motorplan, expires at 100,000km or Jul 2018. As far as I'm aware it's about 13k/year to extend by time only. Mileage is sufficiently low that this could probably be done at least a year or two.
Service history: Full history with dealership, been serviced a whole once
Condition: Generally excellent condition but there is a small ding on the back bumper from a trolley or something.
Extras: see below
Location: JHB, Sandringham
Delivery available: Can ship with Prasa
Price/including fees: R420,000 (trade: R394,060. retail: R439,850. autotrader: R499,000 :p)
Any major accidents etc: Nope, just the trolley (motherf!@#&!@#)

Yes, settlement is around 320k.

Please excuse the dirt, just took this pic now and went on a dirt road on Friday and I've lent my pressure washer to a colleague.

For some reason that pic is upside down, which makes it more confusing... It's on the bumper and the "top" bit is the boot.

A few more from *that* folder on my phone.

Tickets are easy to sort out, it's when there's no ticket it's a problem...

Oh I should mention the car is fitted with a tracking unit. Can either be cancelled or I'm sure you must be able to transfer the contract. Either way if there's a cancellation cost or transfer cost I'll cover that.

Depends who the tracking unit is with if the buyer of the vehicle needs assistance i could run the reg on our database if its listed the current owner will be diverted to relevant department for cancellation-etc
also dependant of the units contract period agreement

Oh I know the details etc, just don't know if it's wise to advertise the exact unit on a public forum[emoji14]

I keep coming back to this thread just to stare at that beauty... Wish I could get my Engineering degree faster :p GLWS bud :)

Beautiful car. The grill is epic as well. Would be all over this if it was a 328i[emoji14]that 3.0 is a beast but it would kill me when it comes to filling up [emoji21]

Tank is the same size as a 328i so no problem :D

It's actually surprisingly good in eco pro with the 8 speed but sis[emoji14]
Cruising is around 7l/100km which is similar to my 530d. Daily with some highway around 8-10 (also similar to 530d). Backroads etc around 13 and sitting in heavy traffic 16-18. (Not so similar to 530d :p. I did manage 16+ in the 530d once though.)

As far as cars I've had my focus 1.6 averaged 11. My seat 1.9tdi averaged 9.6. My 530d averaged 12. 335i is normally 10 working where I normally work or 13 if I have to go into Sandton then I go backroads. That's basically leaving it in "comfort" mode all the time. Eco pro has too much throttle lag but it does work. I don't really ever need "sport". I prefer to put the gearbox in sport if I must because then the flaps open so it sounds cool but the steering stays light.
Looking at the cars above I know I have a heavy foot[emoji14]

I had this same rationale - almost as fast as the 335, but according to the specs much lighter on fuel?
This is definitely not true.

I have a 2012 model 328i. I put 49000km on the clock to date and my total average consumption is 10.9l/100km.
So in total it does about 9km per liter - which is hardly more efficient than the 335i.

Yes I do a lot of town driving, and if you cruise on the highway 120km/h it does about 6-6.5l / 100km.
But still, if I knew this I would have just gone for a 335 in any event.

If you want efficiency, get a 320d.

If you want to teach proper respect to hatch loving race boys, get a 335 or up
