Hi Carbies.

Just a quick question about internet on windows 10.
Is there a way to quickly block and unblock internet, like a stop and start button of some sorts? Maybe an app that can do it? My internet is connected via ethernet port from router and its a pain to everytime plug it out and in...

Kind Regards.

Hello @meanACE

Why not just manage the connection from your router.
Log into your router and your ip should show as a connected device, mine has the option to disable internet connection.
You can also do this from your phone if the phone is connected via WiFi to the router.

Hope this helps.

Just disable the NIC and enable it again when you want internet. Or point your machine to a invalid proxy server.

You can disable your network interface from command line.
Command to disable network interface:
ipconfig /release
Command to enable network interface:
ipconfig /renew
These two commands used on after the other is essentially what gets executed when you unplug your Ethernet adapter, and plug it back in.

I did this for a while but honestly the hauwei app is so slow it takes less time plugging the cable out and back in was just hoping there was a quick way of stopping and starting it on windows itself

Thanks everyone. I created the bat files and they work perfectly :geek:
