It is a Korean(I think) MMORPG that is getting remade for the US/UK. THe combat system looks excellent. PVP and even the PVE looks Nice. THink like Anime fighting style but not the complete Anime graphics it doesn't have that cartoonish colours.

Edit : OK maybe a little bit cartoonish :p

I have to agree with you I haven't found 1 MMO like WOW was to me a few years back. It maybe that I'm out growing it maybe not but one thing for sure is the games and not even just MMO's are not that entertaining anymore. I'm hoping that blade and soul changes that.

Yep, I agree. I only play mmo games and it has been a while since something decent came along, for now I'm still stuck on FFXIV, Gameplay/graphics/community is really great and get new content every 3-4 months.
 
Was looking at this game, looked interesting but yet something failed to convince me, then i came across "Black Desert Online" and for some reason it blew my mind :O .... So im quite mixed about which one i should invest in, any ideas ?

Black desert is still far away. invest in both. :D

btw did you perhaps come across a date for black desert? any release/beta date? last time I checked Daum did not give any dates yet.

Same here, english translated Russian version from playbns.com, the lag was horrible.

I Cant dedicate enough resources for TWO MMOS!!! lol
Latest news on BDO is that they've set up shop in Amsterdam during July and that EU servers will be up 2 weeks before the NA, seems like Beta will be this year end sometime (I feel its sooner than we think) but official release will definitely be next year sometime.

Busy downloading JPN version :/ I cant seem to wait :D
 
Ahhhhlllllrighty then my nips are stiff - been playing the beta since last night and I must say - moer fun ( combat is a bit sluggish ) but gameplay and music and people and .... everything rocks
This is the MMO Gotham wants and Gotham needs
 
My problem with this game:

Even with EU servers coming in CBT 2, you will never be able to compete on any basis with any players that resides closer with lower latency.
They have no skill buffer and are not planning on adding any, so as fun as this game is for me it will never be enjoyable. Going from always PVPing and playing only on PVP servers to playing a MMO where I can't compete because of lack of technology will not suffice, making it worse is BnS is mostly based on PVP.

So at the end.. sad face :(

AWe Fishes the time is here and BNS is live - they fixxed the laggy ness and the rest :) but yeah its a proper MMORPG - Nothing you have experienced yet trust me, and if PVP is your thing lvl30+ is hectic :) BTW Starfall Crater is the server with the best Ping in SA

They fixed the laggy ness and the rest.. What do you mean by this? did they add skill buffers?
Without skill buffering other players will always have a advantage over you, I have posted a video regarding this.

I had head start access as I wasted cash and bought the legendary or whatever founder pack but didn't try it because of the latency and skills.

What's even worse is how I keep hearing from my friend in the UK how awesome the Black Desert beta was and we are still ip blocked :(

The Youtube vid you posted is inaccurate ive yet to meet another player that could best me on my level (sofar 31) and from what I can see is there is no delay in skills ( that might have been a beta / Korean thing ) remember they reworked the Graphics engine and skills for the EU side, to me this is a brilliant example of how an mmo should be and I love the fact that there is no healer, so the 3 main roles are a set standard 1. Tank 2. DPS 3. Support DPS.

This game wants you to really focus on playing the game and not healing others or worry about others ( ive seen Blade masters out tank and DPS the best of classes, and this holds true to any class it all depends on your gaming skill )

Those founders packs make it worth it XD

The only drawback about the game is the massive amounts of combo's its doos hard to memorize them all (out of the possible 12 different variations ive memorized 6-7)

This seems like a bold claim to make? can you compare between 20ms and 200ms?

I have downloaded it and will check it out tonight. will give my honest opinion once done.

More videos regarding this, perhaps they are also inaccurate, I wouldn't know unless I tested it.

Been playing for 2 days .... asked for a refund ... the game Officially only got released yesterday, the early access people are already max level and have cleared all the endgame dungeons. So much for having depth in content available...
Dungeons are wishy washy and no real fixed class roles - EVERYONE is dps.

Maybe i am a bit harsh with my approach ... meh ...

Yeah it is a bold claim to make and true you cant compare the two - but my argument is can you play world of tanks ? can you play Dota 2 EU servers ? what makes this any different ( you learn to adapt to the ping differences ) to me creep dungeons don't matter so much as the pvp does and in SA ive yet to get one of my friends who complain about the ping delay or amount of strikes it takes compared to EU countries.

But try the game and let me know what you think ( and no up to level 20-25 isint trying the game )

Im an early access player and im not level cap yet - im taking my time and watching each cut scene. I live for stories

As for the everyone is dps - tell that to a sin who wants to solo a area boss ? (only 2 classes can solo that shit Destroyers and Kung fu masters )
I don't mind there being a lot of level 45's around ( remember this is a remastered version of a Korean MMO )so you can expect a lot of flaws the first 6 months of launch
