For the receiver it is an OEM / Generic which means that on first connection it will show up as unrecognized in device manager, as there are no on board drivers. One simply needs to select from list for drivers and use the Xbox wireless adapter ones listed. Thereafter it should always be recognized on that PC but these adapters can also be left plugged in 24/7
