Hi,

So I bought the Biostar DCBTC2 and I am unable to get it working, I'm using it with the following:

Biostar tb250 btc
PCI-e VER006 risers
8x GTX 1060 6gb version
Intel G3930
4GB memory
2x antec 750w edge PSU's
128gb ssd

As indicated on wootware's website, I did update the bios to version B25CF330.BSS - improved mining mode ( Beta ) - 2017-03-30

Do I need to reinstall windows with all the cards connect? I installed windows originally without the expansion card connected
Is this even compatible with windows?
Is there any changes that I need to make in the BIOS? (i tried switching between gen1 and gen2)

Note in the pictures below, device manager detects when i plug in only 6 (last picture) card but gives this weird shit (picture 2 and 3) when I use the expansion card for gpu #7 & 8.

Any help would be immensely appreciated!

Probably a silly question, but I assume you are running the latest Nvidia drivers?

Could you try to run only GPU 7 and 8 with the expansion card and see if windows detects it correctly without the other 6 cards?

Also try to run it with only one GPU but connect that GPU to the expansion card. Reason I want you to do this is to try and eliminate the expansion card as the problem.

Windows 10 is known to have weird issues with >6 GPU's.

try download the linux based simple miner and see if it works

Figured it out, I had the wrong bios update. It works 100% now with windows 10

ambroseg1, very late reply from me..

Yes, the bios update which worked is the - B25CFB29.BSS intel Management engine update. After doing the update, windows immediately detected all the gpu's. I have to note that i had to increase the virtual memory from 16500 to 20000 before i could mine eth via claymore.

Nice rig. I want to get a few more cards for a mining rig but I'm waiting for the next gen of cards towards the end if this year.
