So I know that South Africa has placed a ban on banks allowing South African citizens to deposit money into a Binance account and intern Binance has delisted South African currency pairs but id like to ask and find out if id be able to transfer crypto to my binance wallet and then concert it to rands which I can then transfer to my South African FNB account?

nope with no ZAR pairs this is impossible

Would u happen to know of an exchange supported in SA with any alt coins and a low price?

Likely altcointrader not my favourite otherwise luno and valr

low price is relative any coin purchased in sa carries a 2-5% prem at 99% of the time

Luno so limited though.Really wish they had other coins like RVN,Beam or ETC.

Heard the whole banning is because Binace failed to comply with transparency with the SA government as always they want to be able to tax the citizens and steal the money

I'm sorry, how is being taxed for capital gains theft?

I'm not going to get myself involved in a corruption / political debate here, but being taxed for money earned (irrespective of how said money was earned) is not theft.

In fact, those who go out of their way to avoid being taxed are the ones who are stealing...

Just saying

Also u live in a country of thieves btw,ur comment was un-needed and not even the point. One of the main goals of crypto currencies is to remain decentralized and untraceable which many governments are attempting to take away simply because they wish to tax their citizens which destroys the whole purpose of crypto currency.
If u don't wish to have a political debate u should not have commented as well as u should actually bring some substantial evidence to the table before u decided to open ur big mouth.

I'm here to find out which crypto exchange remains true to cryptos purpose, support exchange from crypto to rands as well as have a low fee as our glorious government decided since it can't have its way it'll simply spite its own citizens

Tax is fine when used correctly and it is used for its intended purpose. The short story is in South Africa it is not.Tax money is used to empower the corrupt politicians who are dying to hold onto power

agreed. since when is tax money ever used how it should be in this country. "stage 4 load shedding in spring" yayyyy.

Back to exchanges. I buy something like XRP on luno and transfer XRP to binance and trade alt pairs there. When I cash out I just buy XRP on binance and send to the Luno wallet. Doing it like that mostly removes the effect of the 2-5% premium.

So do u not incur any fees transferring them from one exchange to another? If I remember correctly coinbase has a fee to transfer crypto to different exchanges?

Maybe hit reply so that i get tagged and the rest know who you're replying to :)

1. Saying you live in a country of thieves is the same as saying all {insert nationality, race, whatever you want} are {insert associated generalisation}. I love in this country. I am not a thief. I assume you live in this country, and I assume you are not a thief, this comment is therefore null. You can't say I'm not paying taxes because all taxes are stolen, because this is not the case. If it were, we would not have the little that we do.

2. Decentralisation I agree with. Untraceable I do not. Untraceable opens more doors for this country of thieves to steal from you.

3. The government is not trying to take it away. They are trying to keep it within control, meaning, they want to know where Joe Smith got the $10mil from, if it was obtained legally, and if so, how much to tax him for it, because any currency brought into the country should be taxed.

4. I meant I did not want to get into the debate regarding corruption. You would be a fool to think that it were not present in South Africa. However, you're an even bigger fool if you believe that due to a select few's dishonesty with regards to the theft of money intended for the people, you're now exempt from having to pay tax.

5. What evidence is it exactly that you would like me to bring? I said nothinf that warranted the need for evidence. I certainly didn't say anything along the lines of the entire country being thieves.

6. This is an opwn forum, and everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. With in reason of course. Things such as racism etc are not tolerated. As such, I expressed my opinion, which I am entitled to. If you disagree with it, guess what, a) that's fine, we don't ask have to agree on everything and b) i don't really care. However, if you took offence to anything I said, and felt the need to get aggressive (which, by the tone of your response is implied), then if I were you, I'd tske a minute to do some introspection on myself, to find out why some guys comment on the Internet triggered me so. You sound like a pretty angry guy (not based on that comment alone). My bud, it's not leka to be angry all the time. Relax a bit.

7. You hide behind the facade of being a Robin Hood. Looking for an exchange that supports our currency in order to bypass the tax implications because the government is corrupt and will just steal your money. When in fact, all you're really doing is using a piss poor excuse to evade taxes on your crypto.

There are 2 certainties in life. Death and taxes.

You may find what it is that you are looking for, but sooner or later, it will catch up with you.

Refusing to pay your taxes because the government is corrupt doesn't make you a hero. And no judge will see it that way either.

Good luck on your endeavours.

I am sure he donates the money he dodges on tax to a charitable organisation that he believes is well run

How does one even begin to work out the Capital Gains Tax ? I myself have been holding and accumulating BTC for a number of years. At this point I'm not even sure how many times and what amounts I've deposited to which exchange....

Don't try say a comment was unneeded when you were the first to make a political comment:

Why is this thread turning political?
Paladin u have to really stop now,ur mouth is getting to big for ur head.
If u want to have a actual political debate let's do it like its done in uni,u state the issue, provided a explanation and with that give detailed statistics and evidence.
I personally do not have the time to argue with u as I don't feel its worth the time,if u feel it is like I said follow the criteria.
Now can this please go back to a thread about crypto exchanges in SA.

Let's make this philosophical too.
Maturity is a moral concept created by humanity to better understand a universe which in itself does not make alot of sense.

I always find it funny when people basically openly admit to trying to dodge taxes on a completely public platform, especially in the context of SARS making it overtly clear that they will clamp down on taxes owed around crypto. To each their own, I guess.

As to how to calculate stuff, Luno (and I am sure all the other exchanges) allows you to export your transaction history which should make it pretty straightforward.

Nothing philosophical about what I said. It's a question of asking yourself why you're such an angry person, and why you allow me to get under your skin, not a question of philosophy.

I'm answer was philosophical if u didn't notice[emoji2273]
When u learn the futility of many things in life ull learn that what u say doesn't get under a person's skin but rather intrest u as u question why and what led a person the think the way they do

Clearly he got under your skin because "I don't have time..." yet here you are... continuing.

Problem with this is - its actually illegal to send crypto you have bought locally overseas - as its circumventing the yearly allocation of funds you are allowed to send out the country.

And I'm back[emoji16]
At this point I just want to chant fight, fight, fight. This poor thread has delved into something else at this point...
