The screen extender - also touratech, with a full Acropovich system as well and the Nav 5, quick shifter etc basically all the bells and whistles you can get..... Including bungs, bigger foot side stand, radiator guards, toolbox, led flickers etc.

Yes living in Plett for the last 22 years, that pic was taken last month in Patensie, just after I gone through the Baviaans. My first trip through the Baviaans was in 1997 on a XT500, but it never gets old.

Exactly, the Baviaans has become a sunday outing where it used to be a bloody weekend adventure.
Still absolutely amazing to go there though.

Have to say I would also like to do Baviaanskloof and Die Hel, as it is rated by many to be fun. You have the right tool for the job, just keep momentum in the difficult sections and the BMW will take care of it self.

After me and a bunch of Friends did Sani Pass to Katsi Dam via A3 thaba tseka in the Rain, i am not afraid of any road now, we thought Sani Pass was bad after a month of terrestrial rains, but we rode about 5 hours on 80km on the A3 that was Hel. Looked more or less like this the entire road.

Em.... I dunno where I stand on the Ducati MultiStrada and HyperStrada or actually most of their bikes with the exception being the Streetfighter,1200 Monster and Panigale.
But why buy a 690? why not the big boi KTMs?

M8 of mine has one and is loving it, had to get used to the bike being a bit top heavy, it felt for him like it dived into corners. Once he got used to it he loves the bike. Plenty of power....

Good morning George S
You wanna go to the "Hell" Here are some photo"s of my trip I did at the end of March.

Nice, recently moved to JHB, but lived in Knysna for 13 years.

Awesome riding down there, especially for adventure bikes, off road bikes... not so much.

Awesome news as I suck on a bike with the technical stuff. Much better at it on a mountain bike.

OMG it rained so hard yesterday, I was at the robot and I could feel my toes in what felt like a bucket of water..... my shoes.
My jacket, shoes, socks, gloves etc. everything was so soaked.
I poured the water out of my shoes when I got home, and then the power went out :(

Hey Rex, i found something of yours

Do you ride a bike?
:p
only for fun while i still had a plot, but i feel for you man being wet is the worst especially when its inside your shoes/boots

i had the luxury of being the passenger on my dads bike growing up, getting the dodgy helmet which had that visor that would not stay down and when it started raining he always seemed to only have a top for me no rain bottoms so those trips we took got hellva interesting in the wet and i wish that on no one :)
