Bikers!?

First word that comes to mind is hunchback.
From the handle bars, to the seat (Main frame), all seems very standard. Just seems so short because it has no sub frame. So seating position will be the same as on the R9T

Here is a Beter looking R1200R Cafe IMO
Wow that is sexy AF Indeed. I think the one I posted, they just wanted it to look a bit more futuristic. I would like the hugger and front fender of the one I posted on the one that you posted though!

Man that is sexy I would just drop the whole weird front end scoop thing.

1st Bike: Yamaha 175 Enduro.
Current bike: Buell XB9S, most fun bike I've ever had to ride.
To choose one from many that I'd like: Yamaha V-Max.

They do have a hell of a lot of soul and it's immense fun to ride every day.

I still consider it the best bike I've ever had in certain scenarios but my RS is a much better all rounder for doing more things well.

I'm surely not the only one that hits that point in a rainy wintery ride where I actually enjoy myself?

Sure getting out there when it's already pissing down is never fun but assuming you have decent winter boots, decent winter gloves and other gear and your rain suit and you should be pretty dry and warm all round.

Once again this morning just as I hit highway speed with little to no cars about and maybe 100m of visibility, the rain just hitting the helmet hard enough to be made known instead of sounding like gunshots and just enough of it to streak out of your view without obstruction I found myself almost too warm and genuinely comfortable inside the crazy elements and thought to myself all of a sudden as crazy as it seems this is actually fun right now. You know it's almost like the extreme of scuba diving where once you are in the ocean and over the cold and your body has acclimatized and your breathing has settled you can suddenly take in the world in it's most visceral form.

As I was going I was just thinking to myself all these cars around me are missing all of this with their heated seats and climate control, most of them are probably still miserable about being there in the first place.

I'll be honest though I did hit the suicide line this morning for the first time in a long time due to the cluster **** that was an accident on the N2. More for reasons of safety as my hands and body were being fatigued by then and the cars were all over the place and also in a respectable fashion at 35km/h and just chugging along happily.

Of course after the accident section cleared I stupidly gave it some beans with visibility down to nothing and the rain moering down and hit one of the painted B U S lane markers I didn't see and went into a monstrous two wheel slide that even the electronics didn't see coming as no lights came on but it was just enough of a reminder of where I am and the dangers to myself.

I would happily do it again tomorrow.

We own bikes to ride them not to leave them in our garages for nice days.
I worked for someone years ago that had an ungoverned Hayabusa, he only rode it when it was very sunny....not too sunny though and please no wind, I maintained that the day I got a bike I would never be like him so now I ride bike everyday regardless of the weather.

Yup don't have a car so that's the way I roll too, but it's nice when it's actually not a traumatizing experience.

I also like riding in the rain.I prefer getting wet on my way home rather than on my way to work.

Yeah as preferences go I prefer it on the way home too, but it's no big deal really.

You must be batshit crazy do this shit with a pillion though as I witnessed a ZX14 doing on the way home.

Glad you guys enjoy the Rain. Guess i am not as nuts as i thought sometimes. With the GS i am more wet from the waist down as it spashing water EVERYWHERE!!!

However in Summer it is enjoyable as it is not as Hot, and sometimes quite refreshing actually. In Winter it Sucks.

Also prefer the ride home to be raining if it does as you can get rid of the cloths and take the best shower usually.

I managed to get 302km on a tank of fuel. It is definitely the stop start traffic that screws me over big time while commuting to work and back.

LOL, then he should get a camera cause someone is stealing his fuel.

Lol if only. It's definitely the bike, and apparently it's pretty normal for the 990 Adv.
A little while back I did a 450km loop from JHB to Loskop Dam and back again, mostly on high speed dirt. Cost me R500 in fuel.
If I chill out, stick to the speed limit and just cruise then it drops to about 5L/100km, but it's really difficult to stay chilled on the 990.

@Flex did you ride this morning ??

oh wait you are banned and cant comment hahaha..

I went for a run yesterday until i turned a corner and the wind hit me, turned back and went home easy.. i dont even want to know how it felt on a bike
