Bike Washing

Spent some intimate time cleaning the S1000R yesterday afternoon...

I am having difficulty reaching everywhere on these silly naked bikes. Feels good driving a clean bike around though, she was hella dirty.

You need on of those brush on a stick jobbies, if you don’t have a high pressure hose that is.

But buying the Meguiars washing mittens was the best purchase I ever made to save my hands getting mangled by bikes.

I also have 2 wool mittens that I used when I did car detailing. They work wonders. Detail brushes are also great for bikes around the caliper and motor areas. Allows me to get into all the nooks and crevices.

I'll look into getting some of those soft wheel whoolie brushes for the hard to reach places. I gave the bike a stare down and realised I could've wiped the backside of the swingarm if I went from the motor side at the bottom. Will do so the next wash.

Received the quick detailer, spray wax and some new mf towels today. Tomorrow morning the Panigale is taking a shower. Going to be much easier to wash than the S1k.

Is the Panigale at least insured?

[emoji102] Comprehensively....

He he.

I must say I was very disappointed with the Multistrada when I finally rode it after years of pining for one.

But now that they’ve put the V4 in there and dropped the desmodromic kak it might be time to take another look again.
