Was on Telkom LTE that was around R900 p/m
Got gatvol of the throttling and degradation of quality
Got rain's unlimited home 5G standard yesterday @ R699 p/m
and download speeds have been nice Youtube been fast
Got Warzone downloaded and MK 11 updated overnight
Thing is Gaming on Rain is utterly kak
World of Warcraft you feel like you running in jam
(yet showing better latency than telkom)
and Battlefield 4 you're gun moves around like a slide show
(whit a ping showing of 20-50)

So whit money being tight whit all the covid kak and all
and the need to downgrade and save a little monies
Whats the best Fibre Uncapped Fibre preferably
Cheaper than Rain ?
around the West of JHB?

whit free installation and router

Whom is fibre provider? I. E. Sadv, vumatel, evotel, openserve, etc?

Lots of issues with Vuma and Afrihost in PE.
Download speeds of 4meg [emoji3064], not been able to connect to online gaming........on going for three weeks. Over charging and not quoting the customer what fees are involved. Pm me for information.

I'm in JHB and have had minor issues with Vuma which were solved within a day or so at most. I have had many issues with various ISPs but the ISP I have now is pretty decent for now.

Can just about not beat Fibre for stability
Costwise depends on your requirements and provider

Rain 5G is very promising for its maximum speed for price, but the minimum is an issue
contrast that to fibre which is fixed for almost guaranteed speed

From what I've seen MindTheSpeed has the lowest Vumatel prices by at least R100. I've ordered Fibre with them and haven't gotten connected yet but so far the service has been good while they're been sorting out some issues for me from Vumatel's side. And the feedback thread over at mybroadband Mind the speed ISP is pretty good.

I am with them since mid Jan excellent support staff.

Best advice i can offer, do not deal with the fibre provider directly. Many ISP's will pay their hidden fees for you when you sign up with a fibre package. The problem with LTE and microwave and those types of connections is contention. Too many people are on those networks and the saturation leads to a higher than acceptable rate of packet loss and degradation of speeds. Fibre on the other hand is still quite open and so we dont need to use the word uncapped, I am in the East Rand area on Vumatel fibre with HomeConnect as my ISP and i have not had any issues since being with them. 20/20 upload/download package by the way
