Hello Carbonites,

I am upgrading the TV's in my rooms in my B&B (~8 Rooms).
Looking for 43-50inch in size. Budget around R7-9k per TV.

I was originally thinking Samsung (AU7000) as it's a known brand and I know software is typically supported for a few years.

I also see there is a Hisense u7g

But I have heard mixed reviews on Hisense.

Has anybody got experience in this space and can recommend the best option around this pricerange?
Obviously being a B&B the reliability is important - they typically only get used for a few hours on the weekend.

I purchased this Sinotec as additional tv and very happy.

To be honest my Samsung 4k smart was repaired 2 times already under warranty and I will never purchase another Samsung TV again.

Personally have the Samsung in 43 inch version, bought on sale from takealot i think it was 6.5k
Great value, has some ghosting on console games but not really noticeable. Using it also as a computer monitor, works 100%

I think you can have a look at LG as well, we also have a 50UP7500 and when we bought it, it was about R1k cheaper than the Samsung. The Samsung has smaller bezels, if that is something you look at.

For the smart capability, it's better than the Mi Box and easy to use.

U7G is a great buy at that price. Would be my recommendation.
Not to be confused with the A7G which is significantly worse.
