If none of them want to fix it, maybe you shouldn't get it fixed... when it comes to your safety, listening to the pros is probably a good idea.

I mean they don't offer the service, aluminum alloy motorcycle rims are very repairable, heck the ones on the bike now were welded and repaired after my first accident 3 years ago, but that was one by insurance and i cant figure out where they sent it....

Oh I see.

I recently used Mag Repair Centre in Rivonia, they may be able to help. Did a good job overall, though I'm not 100% sure they do motorcycle rims.

I know of a place in randfontein that does bikes. Place looks dodge as hell but they did an amazing job.

I hit a brick at highway speeds in 2016 and they managed to fix it. Still using those same rims without any issue.

you just described all of Randfontein XD

do you have a phone number or the places name?

Let me know if they still do it - They did a paint job for me as well last time, might go back for round two.
They still do. 750 per wheel including paint, took them a while though, paint isn't bad.

Were they atleast decent with comms while it took long?
uuuuuuuuuhhhhh....

kinda? I could call them an get a new ETA, which I fortunately did every time before going to the store, but I got a new ETA every time I called.

for the price I'm still happy, I should add that it was R750 per wheel but they did both mine for R1200, they wernt fast, but I still got my wheels before the jol at the drag strip

Anyone know of a place in Western Cape that fixes bike rims? Also from pothole damage, but just a small dent. I found one or 2 who mainly does car rims, who said they could help, but then I need to take off the wheel and bring it to them. Would prefer a bike place who can do all the work for me.

Any suggestions?

Very few places have space to keep the vehicles they're repairing for; and then normally because of a larger shop, they're more expensive.

If you have a front stand for the bike; it'll take a full 5mins to remove the wheel and its an extremely easy process.

Otherwise you might have to go to a dealership and ask them to help you out (for a fee ofc)

most bike repair shops will be able to help you, but you will be paying their markup on the repairs and using a shop of their choice.

if you aren't on a budget, call up your nearest performance bike shop and ask em.

back in te old days when my dad was importing bikes from japan im pretty sure that work he would send to hi tech mag repair, or did they give up fixing bike rims?

hope you managed to stay in the upright position with your pothole incident bud, bike and potholes dont mix well usually
