Having problem getting in to SA servers, EU servers are fine and you can get in to the game. Have to say the game looks good

Will see you gents on the battlefield tomorrow... couldn't agree more that this game even from the beta seemed like the best fps I have played in a long time.. coming from a huge fps fan.. R199 a month and zero loot boxes is an awesome deal and I think a lot of the nay sayers will be joining us soon enough.

Agreed Nivek, there's just something about it. Hard to pin down to one thing but it just feels right. I played CS for many years and moved on when CS:Source came out to COD and then eventually BF4 and was converted ever since. BF1 was an odd game. I had fun but it wasn't consistent fun. There were so many white wash matches and random deaths from above - it was like having an AC130 on every map. I guess that was the "behemoth" feature.

Anyway, for people wondering if you have to pay R199 per month to play BFV, you don't. EA did what EA does best and made the impatient of us part with R199 to play the game early. If you buy the game, even standard edition (deluxe is the only other option), then you have the game + all future content releases such as maps, weapons, vehicles, etc. This would normally have been restricted to "premium" players but this game it ain't! No more community division or wasted premium purchase because none of the SA servers put premium maps on rotation until they are free anyway.

There is no premium pass in BFV, they got rid of it completely. Instead, additional maps, weapons, game modes and vehicles will be released periodically. There are two in game currencies. One you earn through playing the game, the other can be bought with real money. The one you earn in game is used to unlock weapons, weapon skills/specializations, player skins and vehicles. The paid for currency can only be used to purchase skins, nothing else. Cosmetics only, in other words. Loot crates have also been removed from the game.

I think it has the potential to be the next BF that I sink a lot of hours into. A lot of people are basing their decision to skip the game on a very bad reveal trailer and a beta that we had 2 months ago. They have release a 200+ page document with all the fixes they made since that beta. Note, that's 200 pages, not 200 items fixed.

To those diving in 24 hours from now, see you on the battlefield!

Last night there were 3 SA servers up

From about 5 pm on we averaged about 60 players on the conquest map. I was up jamming till about 12.

Comments so far.

Twisted steel is one insane map. It looks amazing.
Fjell 652 is probably the most intense infantry map in the pack. Loving the action on it
Arras (fields of yellow) good map, with something for everyone. Also, don’t hide in the churches tower



I Did not get to play all the new maps. What I will say is, this is the most fun I had in BF sins BF3.

Actually you can play right now! They surprised everyone yesterday by launching a day early for Origin Access members. Okes were jamming last night flat out. Wife is going to hate me this weekend coz I'll be glued to the BF!

Still says it unlocks at a certain time on my side. might need to restart the pc though to get it to work I know that was an issue with my pre-load.

Wow dude, a someone with hundreds of hours in BF1 that's just not true. In most cases no need to ADS? Unless you are extremely close, as in shotgun range, you absolutely need to ADS. Most fights take place over very long distances, and hip firing will do nothing more than give your position away.

If you stand there hip firing, even with trench guns, at medium distances, you will lose fights against someone ADSing 100% of the time.

BF1
I main Anhilitaor Trench like a godamn boss and when the enemy is abit to far I ADS to get the kill.


Assault - ADS Not necessary
Medic - Mostly ADS
Support - Mostly ADS or you will miss everything
Sniper - Always ADS

However if you playing on console (eww) then you will probably be using ADS all day for that auto aim headshot.

BF V felt abit slugish and a lot slower to me. I only played the free beta so Im sure they will improve the game.
The lack of vehicles was lame.

tried 3 zero distance for shooting at guys like 150m away and don't even get body hits????

glad to see the age old bs of you emptying clips on dudes, yes with hits, and them jumping around and hs'ing you with a pistol

can see my time in this game is going to be limited yet again so I don't blow a gasket

oh and where are the days of BF2 where it actually took skill and not just play time to rank you up????

For the people that have played: What's the general consensus regarding the game? How is the map design in this game?

The last BF game I played was BF3, which while fun enough on its own felt way too much like CoD to me with the faster walk speed ( I guess I expected slower paced gameplay of BF2 and BF2142). I can maybe look past how much CoD-lite this looks if it's fun enough.

Edit: Angry Joe was showing some stuff where scopes and attachments for weapons were locked behind in-game currency. Is that still the case for the final release?

Game is insanely fun from the little bit I got to play today, much slower paced than cod that's for sure.. as for scopes etc they are locked behind in game currency but you earn in game currency quite easily so it doesn't feel like a grind at all.. more just you can select which stuff you want to unlock.

Oorseese servers met 200 ping is baie beter maar dan is sniping nioe so lekker. Nou om te wag vir die LAG fix.... Great game anyways.

probeer dink of daar ooit local BF servers was waar hierdie nie n issue was nie

die SAIX dae waar die rumour was dat hulle soos 2-4 games per server run om te save op costs

Got Origin access to try it out along with a few other games.

Doubt I'm going to buy it. Played 3 rounds now on SA server. Getting loads of stutters and frame rate drops on a bloody 1080Ti. Running 416.81 drivers.

Aside from that, it feels a lot like a BF1 DLC/Reskin.

It's not bad. It's just not great either. Will look for my FPS fix elsewhere for now.
