almost.... there....
must.... hold.... out....
Got my refund today ! Can't be bothered to waste money on this crap anymore ...
Why you say that?
From what I saw of the Beta (Twitch livestreams) the game looked quite good, especially the gun play.
Maybe different compared to actually playing?
played the beta - the game is VERY dumbed down and in most cases ( just like BF1 ) you don't actually have to ADS ... I had numerous issues with sound channels disappearing. What did it for me was the fact that I realized even getting the Deluxe edition, you'd still need a premium pass or something to the likes to access any of the other maps, along with the premium currency they have introduced which allows you to unlock gear even further ... So now it's going to be pay to win model ?
EA have lost the plot - all the hopes of going back to a BFBC2 style gameplay are out the window and they're just after the money and making the game so dumbed down, probably to port to consoles.
It's a really pretty game, let's not get that wrong - but in terms of actually playing it - extremely casual for the most part.
in most cases ( just like BF1 ) you don't actually have to ADS.
Wow dude, a someone with hundreds of hours in BF1 that's just not true. In most cases no need to ADS? Unless you are extremely close, as in shotgun range, you absolutely need to ADS. Most fights take place over very long distances, and hip firing will do nothing more than give your position away.
If you stand there hip firing, even with trench guns, at medium distances, you will lose fights against someone ADSing 100% of the time.
Me[emoji28]so who wants to borrow an account to try game?

People can pay R199 to try the game for a whole month
You're being too nice so it's clearly a trap. Was just trying to warn peopleor they can do that
I see. Kinda sucks, but I don't think that's much of a deal breaker for me.
Just chilling out and playing a few games without having to focus 100% is pretty appealing, especially after a long day at work. But I do get what you're saying.
They're appealing to the Fartnite populace.
I learnt with BF3 and BF4, that "Premium" is an absolute waste of time. The DLC maps get played for a week after release and then (the servers) just die out completely. There are some times a few cool guns in the DLC's but nothing that I'd regret not having.
EA fell off the rails a long time ago, and some thing I'll never understand is that they'll have YouTube'ers play their game and review it, giving it constructive criticism, but they never really seem to take the advice.
BFBC3 would reignite the scene, as its pretty much died over the last few years.
The need to incorporate ESports properly, give a single player, and ditch the whole premium BS. Instead have micro-transactions for skins and aesthetics.
Will see you gents on the battlefield tomorrow... couldn't agree more that this game even from the beta seemed like the best fps I have played in a long time.. coming from a huge fps fan.. R199 a month and zero loot boxes is an awesome deal and I think a lot of the nay sayers will be joining us soon enough. There is no premium pass in BFV, they got rid of it completely. Instead, additional maps, weapons, game modes and vehicles will be released periodically. There are two in game currencies. One you earn through playing the game, the other can be bought with real money. The one you earn in game is used to unlock weapons, weapon skills/specializations, player skins and vehicles. The paid for currency can only be used to purchase skins, nothing else. Cosmetics only, in other words. Loot crates have also been removed from the game.
I think it has the potential to be the next BF that I sink a lot of hours into. A lot of people are basing their decision to skip the game on a very bad reveal trailer and a beta that we had 2 months ago. They have release a 200+ page document with all the fixes they made since that beta. Note, that's 200 pages, not 200 items fixed.
To those diving in 24 hours from now, see you on the battlefield!
