Today I could get a 3070 for what I paid for my 3060ti. 3060ti is very strong though so still pretty happy. Just going to lose out come resale eventually. oh well.

where this.
Did you sell the old 3060 when you bought your 3060Ti? Remember that the price you could have got for the 3060, had you sold today, would be less than you got back then (although, as usual, the second-hand prices are dropping more slowly than the new prices). So it's worth taking that into account when you feel bad about "losing out."So this thread did not age well.

Good point and I sold my 3060 for exactly what I paid (R10500).Did you sell the old 3060 when you bought your 3060Ti? I was in the same boat as you and could also have paid less had I bought now, but the price I'd have got for my old GPU now is less than I got back then, which mitigates the price drop somewhat, if not completely.
Besides, hindsight is 20/20. There was know way of knowing for sure back then what GPU prices were going to do today. All you can do at any point is make a decision with the information you have available to you.
