Seller: @mujeeb1
Buyer:
@Nekuro
Description of Bad Deal: Bought this PC from him, worked fine for about a week and a half then suddenly no more starting up, upon further investigation I noticed CPU pins were bent on the motherboard, tested all other components in another machine and had no issues with them, anyways rebuilt entire PC and its not booting/getting enough power. the standby power LED goes on but not the full leds on bottom left of board, all I want is a motherboard for my PC

( First time doing this so if admins have issues with anything please let me know and I will correct/update as needed )

Can confirm what Nekuro is saying.
To add, I haven't inspected the PC myself before selling but everything was working fine. I do not have evidence as to the pins not being bent

I have also offered a partial refund as an option

Yeah that will be fine as discussed with mujeeb, i would just like to get the machine back up and running asap

Have you stripped down the system to the least components needed to try and run it to get a POST? So CPU, mobo and RAM only (I think it has an IGP). If it worked before with bent pins it seems strange to me that it would be a problem suddenly. Perhaps the PSU is the problem? Also did you clear the CMOS etc and pull the battery? I've had systems completely lock up until I force a hardware change (ie pull some memory or change a GPU) which bring a locked up PC "back to life".

Reset Cmos, ClearedCTL, put cpu in another board at work no issues, booted another system with the ram and psu seperately, tried all components apart in a seperate pc no issues, only when the board comes in there are problems so my only valid argument is the board, only saw the bent pins after having this issue, no matter what combo of items i use i dont get the mobo to post

Got another board from @mujeeb1 having the same problems, will see if I can get a different cpu today to test in the board but as I said I started up a different machine with the cpu so don't think its that, really not sure what to do as the replacement board I got is also in bad condition, bent pins on motherboard connectors and top right corner looks chafed, like a small piece broke off

Thanks for the update @Nekuro

@mujeeb1 since you are considered a senior member and also got 100+ feedbacks behind your name, you should lead by example. If something is not in the best condition, maybe consider keeping it or even giving it away. Also, make sure to bring it to the buyer's attention before concluding a deal.

I only noticed now that you even left out the condition field in your thread of the system you were selling. It only takes one bad deal to ruin the whole reputation - as we have seen with previous bad deal threads.

So I bought the system as is without checking the pins. Both me and Nekuro can confirm that the PC was working fine and while I had it I never had any problems. I've troubleshooted it as well as I can and I've taken off from campus to drive around sourcing parts to test.

As for the condition field in my ad, it was filled in in the drop down boxes as "good". Again, I had no reason to fiddle with the motherboard and check the pins.
I've apologised to nekuro because he's now sitting without a pc. I just don't know what else to do? @Andrew_Smith
