Description of Bad Deal:

Where to start, but here we go.

So this seller had a thread (which was deleted), selling 49 mixed gpu's. Gpus ranging from low end to high end (I have the list from him on whatsapp).

The seller claimed in the thread, that most of the gpu's were working just fine and he also confirmed this in a whatsapp message.

I then paid for shipping and once all the cards arrived, and tested, i discovered , that all but 2 gpu's were working.

I then made him and offer on the 2 gpu's, which he accepted. I then told him, ill be sending the rest back for a refund, and he can subtract the 2 cards from the amount.

I then sent back the cards and we discussed he would send me other cards for the value. I kept following up over and over and all i got was bullsht story after bullsht story. This was around 30 July. I was very patient at this stage, considering , i had my savings tied up in this.

He then proceeded to tell me he sold the cards, and he would still be sending me more, and well obvioulsy he did not.

13 Sepetember 2021, i told him i am tired of waiting and i need the funds, as this was desperate times for me, and i had enough of his lies and bullsht.

He then proceeded to tell me he was getting some payout from old mutual, which clearly a bull story or he just refuses to pay me.

He asked for bank details on 12 Nov 2021 to pay me, which he then did not.

Anyway so he then said he will send me hardware, so he sent 1 or 2 items in drips and drabs, which almost all was faulty and useless. This was only a few months ago.

To date, i have not recieved my refund and i have everything on whatsapp. I am busy opening a case with SAPS, which means i probably wont see my money, but at least he goes to Jail, which the scumbag deserves every bit of.

Hi all so I do not know where to start, I'm not all into the whole extortion thing as this this guy is. but here we go.

Yes, I sold my collection to him, may I add that he asked me to not tell anyone he bought the cards as he does not want people to bother him. Hench why I removed the post.

Correct, The post stated, the majority of the cards worked and there was not one single card that was not repairable out of the ones that did not function. At that stage it was not worth it for me to repair them as I had other responsibilities to attend to.

Correction, none of the older cards was tested, they where still wrapped in the same bubble wrap and taped as the day they where collected. Only the higher end cards was opened.

I told you we had a passing of a family member and if you are prepared to wait, I will compensate you as I did.

Correction. I told you I might have a potential buyer and I can compensate you once that concludes, just to get you off my back, but given the state in witch you send the cards back, just chucking it back in the box damaging fans, shrouds and I/O plates they lost more value.
I mentioned this to you without any response.
FYI, none of the cards was sold again and I still have every single one.

I make a point of always answering a call or a message, It is part of my business, but once a person starts to disrespect me or comes with a crappy attitude, they can go to hell, The point of a scam is, to defraud an individual and leaving them with a loss. you did not suffer any of this, as you got what you paid for in the beginning also knowing the condition and that it is technically a buy as is transaction.
Thief... Strange, I compensated you to the best of my abilities given the nature of the deal and the then circumstances that you where fully aware of. I still Always answer my phone and still reside at the same address. A thief usually disappears leaving you dry...

So, The buyer wanted all the abovementioned hardware and all "his" GPUs back. That is according to me not fair trade.

Every last thing sent to him after the original transaction was tested and worked correctly on my side (I can provide pictures of test results), there was a issue with the Gigabyte 2070 where I told him to send it back so I can have it sorted out, He refused.

The buyer's attitude was the major issue here, he treated me like crap and kept threatening me with a criminal case, In the beginning I gave in and compensated you where I could, closer to the end I realized he was only trying to gain out of the situation.

He was well aware of what he was buying and I made my post very clear. I even made it clear in the call I placed to him before he paid. Mind you that was the last last call he ever answered again from me... "The Majority of the cards is working and there was not a single card that was not repairable." Still he purchased it, tested half and kept ones of value. When I mentioned this to him, he shot back with a bad attitude.

Look, All the original cards are still with me and some are already repaired, If he wants them he is more than welcome. He must just take in account all the hardware he already received.

When did you compensate me for R32.5k(Excl Shipping Costs) balance Sir? I was very patient for over a year, and with the passing of your brother. You told me you were going to get a payout from old mutual(Which you did not), you then pushed that story 1 side, and said you would pay me, when you get paid for some work project, which you then did not, then excuse after excuse about clients wasting your time and not paying (Whatsapp messages to follow). This is hardly my problem, when i stated i was desperate for money , after we lost everything between covid and the riots, but this doesn't bother you … clearly.

Yes, I also said I will try to make a plan for some cash back and the cards can stay in the box under my counter in the same way I got them back from you but I'm not in the financial position to give you money because I don't have bulk cash.

Because this is a civil and not a criminal matter, I'm willing to do one of two things.
Pay you for the cards you sent back in installments at month end or send you hardware that you can sell.

Well the last batch of ' working hardware ' was only delivered around the 20th June, so yes over a year later and you haven't really responded to any of my messages since , as what you usually do, so not much help there.

Correct, The post stated, the majority of the cards worked and there was not one single card that was not repairable out of the ones that did not function.
