Description of Bad Deal:
User contacted me on 22/05 offering $70 for R900. Paid him by EFT. After payment, he kept on making excuses about sending the Paypal and eventually seems to have turned his phone off.

I've purchased PayPal multiple times from this user, but seems as if I wont get my money back on this one - just a heads up to anyone should he contact you with PayPal/vouchers to sell.

btw, are you going to try to get the money back from the bank or anything? I'm not sure what the process should be going forward?

@pranam usually you need to make a case at your nearest police station, a bank won't help you without a case number as far as I know

To my knowledge, they can help with a reversal attempt (at a fee) but if the money is out of the account you are screwed.

The fraud guys need the case number + supporting docs (same outcome if the money is out of the account).

Think it falls under your allowances either way - South African exchange control regulations
