So everyone was just waiting to see if the high iTrade scammer would persist or what?
I'm confused, was he such a nice guy people just chose to be strung along for the sake of it?

I just came on to carb to make a bad deals thread about him when I saw this thread. I did a deal with him about 3 months ago, bought a bunch of stuff and drove all the way to his house to collect the stuff. He only delivered part of the stuff I paid for and promised to give me the rest later. A few weeks pass and he asks if I can meet him at a gautrain station to which I agree. He then brought more of the stuff but still not everything. I forgot a bit about it and every time I remeber I would send him a whatsapp and he would have some sort of excuse.

Today was one of those days I remembered about the stuff, he still owes me 3x 128GB SSD's and a 1TB 2.5" Drive.
Sent him a message and no response as yet.

Maybe post those details of his address etc.

I think it is more of an intimidation. If you have 100+ 100% itraders and someone who has 2 needs to give a negative itrader cause things didnt work out the forum will not trust the 2 itrader guy so easily. He will also receive some cold shoulders from other members for outing a high itrader and long time member.

I had a bad deal with this guy when he sold me a Corsair k95 platinum keyboard , when the keyboard arrived it was the old k95. I sent it back and he refunded me. Because of the refund I didn’t think at the time that he was a scammer.

The only deal I had with him I ended up collecting from:

54 Duchesses Ave
2 Hillmark
Windsor East
Randburg

The phone number mentioned above was also the one he used to contact me and that was quite awhile back.

In my case, he was busy trying to source parts for me because the ones he delivered weren't working so I was being patient due to the high I trader. Thought I might just be the odd mess up. A week later the bad deal threads on him started but mine wasn't exactly bad cause he "wanted" to fix it and obviously he's not replying. Learnt my lesson in being a greenie and gonna go open a case on Monday.

I think a lot of people dealing with him before the bad deal ran a loss after he got caught for being a scammer ,he probably just thought if I got made then to hell with everyone now...

Update, the "brand new" SSD that I bought from him was not supplied through Pinnacle as he stated, @Jack_Bauer_ZA has confirmed this.
So that means it was stolen (boo!) or it was provided through a different supplier (yay?).

Eish.

Bottom line, even good deals with BlackAdept could be fraudulent. Do your homework people.

Yes, I agree here. I have experienced this first hand. made a mistake and got banned. When I was like "Why? I am sorry!" The mod replied and said, "You should know better...." I took my 2-week ban with pride.

The account he recently used for scamming was only created end last year. He kept coming back with new names, numbers, etc.

If I recall last time I noticed a banned member back on the forum with a new name* you confirmed it with an ip check? It may not help that much but would it perhaps be possible to implement a system to check the ip addresses etc of new members against a list of banned members.

*In this case I noticed it via their whatsapp number (when it matched against my personal list of people I have had bad experiences with). It probably won't help much since its easy to get new numbers but perhaps we should start a list of numbers known for bad dealings (not sure if sharing this information publicly is even ethical).

Regardless my advice to any new members reading this is to use apps like Truecaller etc when you get someones details.

IP addresses are assigned dynamically.

Good idea, only challenge is if members were to fall under the same IP (perhaps larger corporation etc) but I suppose you could just do some extra checks to confirm.

Had a issue with him beginning of this year. He just sweet talks and bullshits. He also gave me a different part than we already made arrangements for. When he post his reply in the forum he tries to sell the buyer out and people that he is a nice an genuine guy.

I am pretty sure he stays in Windsor. I worked very close to Windsor and he dropped an item off at my work. I rained and yet he still walked there. I also have an invoice from him with the same address mentioned above. It contains a company reg number and banking details. I anyone needs the info, PM me.

From my understanding @MattyB can find out what your blood type is, what you had for breakfast, and time stamps of each time you farted throughout a specific day. Scary stuff.

In all seriousness though I thought maybe he'd find out more info than what's already shared. Just an idea!
