Right, so the time has come to join the PCMR again, about time I may add. For those who don't know, I was an avid cyclist but after my incident on 12 March 2020, I thought it was time for a break.

If you want to see the video (viewer discretion warning)

Big thanks to @Senshi for helping me out as well since I made some mistakes with my initial component choices and actually saving me money on the total build cost.

Most parts are bought directly from @Wootware Computers and I am really looking forward to putting this build together hopefully by the end of the month.

Pictures to follow as items are received.

This was my last build log for those interested:

Ooh, I bet it's going to look epic, super nice parts :D

That OUMA coaster though :p love it

Serious question, why is the Dell monitor in the center and not the xceed 144hz? :O Are you still planning on moving everything?

I am very excited to start building!

Haha, epic present from my little sister, love it.

Yeah, I screwed up big time... (luckily my laptop cannot handle any games, so not a biggy) This will be changed when everything arrives because the mouse pad will almost cover the entire table.

Nice build but not enough RGB, you do realize you can get 30% more FPS with more RGB :p

What was wrong with the Steelseries mouse pad? And which one was that?

WRT the accident, wowzor... watched again to check the indicator and it come on after you come walking back...
sorry man, this is why my wife hates it when I ride on these roads

Haha was waiting for a comment like that. I am old school, I don't like this whole RGB thing. Don't mind it on the keyboard and mouse but for the rest, I prefer it plain and simple. I might get a LED strip from @Fox22743 for my table to finish up the build.

The current SteelSeries mouse pad is way too small and starting to fray on the edges. Frequently while playing CS:GO I ran out of mouse pad. Wanted to get a very big mouse pad to put all my gear on it, such as the monitors, peripherals and my phone. Also, the big mat will come in handy when I will start with the build, protecting the case not to get any scratches and move around while building. Yeah, it is not anti-static as the fancy Modmat from Gamer Nexus but won't put any components directly on it.

As for the incident, I had never in my life got a fright like that. In the video, I didn't show it but afterwards, it actually sank in that I was hit by a vehicle. I was lucky to have walked away from that incident because I am really not a big guy (weigh 60kg's). Totally agree with your wife's statement. Also said to my dad, I am done for now.

About damn time :p

Looking good so far, now we just need to get you a good GPU somewhere in the future.

I got quite a bit busy and did not have time to update this thread.

It is finally done and I am very happy with the outcome. I cannot take credit for the build since I asked my friend to help met out with his amazing cable management skills @Tinki_Muncher.

The computer is flying and I am totally blown away by the performance compared to my old rig back in 2016. Technology amazes me!

I did, however, struggle with an aggressive fan curve on the AIO where the fans would rev up and down quite frequently as I notice the chips fluctuates quite regularly. We tried a manual curve via BIOS with no luck. I stumbled across Argus Monitor whereby I overrode the fans to be controlled via the software and now it works better as ever and actually more silent even when gaming or underload.

I downloaded the app called Sound Meter on my phone and the dB levels were at 46 underload.

So far I only played Warzone with my friends and I am seriously impressed with the performance of this little card. It really packs a punch!

Warzone runs simply smooth as can be on the Checkers 144Hz with no stuttering or any nonsense. It is an absolute breeze!

The only gripe I had with the build was the all the RGB cables making is messing and more tricky to cable management, also the case did not offer the same ease of cable management compared to something like the 275R offers.

My friend asked me how does it feel to have a Gaming PC again?

"It feels unreal but do you know what the best part is? The fact that you can have a game open, Google Chrome with 20 tabs, Discord and Microsoft Teams without the computer having a hiccup."

It is nice having a fast, capable PC, it just makes using one much more enjoyable and I am ready to have fun with my friends, @ravingDIODE yes I am speaking of you.

Now I just need to learn how to play FPS games again and get my aim dialed in.

Thanks to all who followed this build thread along with me, and special thanks again to @Senshi for all his wonderful and helpful advice, @Wootware Computers for providing excellent service and good pricing, finally @PC Rescue for supplying me with the coolest thermal paste to keep the 3700X at bay.

I hope you stick around the PC scene so I'll have time to teach you scope haha ... great to have you part of PCMR again 😀
