Any recommendations on someone who can come work on my car?
Its a 94 corolla. The hazards stay on, solid not flashing, even after the car is switched off. So probably a short or some corrosion in a socket, I dont know.

I cant really drive it anywhere since the indicators wont work

@dash09
The best I can do for you is to give you some advice.
Replace the flasher unit and the hazard button.

And does the car have an after market alarm system?

Nothing is worse than an after-market alarm system. I had one in my first car, ooooold Jetta. Worked fine until one day it didn't, and after that it killed the battery in 4 hours whenever you connected it, and it disabled the central locking.

I know f'all about fixing things in cars, hence I'd like to drop it off with someone who can fix all the issues. Apart from the electrical stuff there's a few other small things I want done like flush out the rad, drain the oil etc. General service stuff.

Car has stock alarm/immobilizer installed. It does deactivate and the car runs, just those lights stay on. I've checked all the fuses and nothing is burnt out

Just check the relay first. They can sometimes get sticky on the contacts when they're old. You don't have to send the car in. Indicator/hazards relay should be labeled.

Just pop it out and buy a new one.

Which relay we talking about here? Main relay?

It will be labeled. See attachment.
Your problem definitely sounds like a relay issue.

Google seems to indicate this is under the dashboard, that correct?

Most of the time yeah.
There should be a few Philips head screws you need to take out then pop the cover.

If you're lucky there will be a relay layout on the fuse box showing you the correct relay.

If you're willing you can open the relay and check the contacts. They look like small copper leavers. Just use a bit of sandpaper to rub the contact point a bit.

If I can find a place that sells them (will check midas) then I'll just take the thing out and replace it. Will try to find it this afternoon if the weather isnt too bad, car is parked in my car port and its fairly dark in there when the sun isn't out, makes it near impossible to search for things with just a cellphone flashlight

Let me know if you struggle, you can bring the car to me :)

Can a aftermarket Bluetooth system connected to the car radio do this too?

Gonna give it a shot over the weekend, way too tired to try after work this week.
If I need help I'll give you a shout for some tips, would be a bit difficult to bring the car to pta with the indicators and rear lights all solid the whole drive. Besides the issue with the lights I also need a new battery, will buy that along with the relay. It will be driveable from there.
If you have experience with these cars there's a few other small things I need repaired, happy to pay the going rate plus a 6 pack

How? out of interest.. I've fitted two systems in both my cars with no hassles... The only thing that can go is mismatching the wires because you have no wiring diagram?
It depends on where it gets the power source from and if it uses a remote wire.
If it has a remote wire then a simple short in the device can make it to stay on permanently.
You can test these thing by doing a parasitic draw test.

I’m based in edenvale and don’t mind helping you out.

You welcome to PM me

Is this the right relay?
Found on the driver's side above the fuse box by the accelerator pedal

Its a black 3 pin relay that will sit by all the other relays at your fuse box inside the car :)
