Good day peeps of Carb,

Ever since I got the ASUS ROG STRIX Z270F GAMING mobo. I've noticed I run into problems with the USB ports in the rear of the computer. Anything plugged in will seemingly randomly disconnect, then reconnect seconds later. The problem is the frequency of this; the disconnects can occur every several minutes, and sometimes in rapid succession.
I am fairly certain that I have all the proper drivers installed.

If anyone has had a similar issue or maybe a solution I can try please let me know. If you need any more information feel free to ask.

UPDATE: One USB port works at a time. So if u plug my mouse into USB port A or USB port B it will work but when I have something in USB port A and plug something into USB port B then the last plugged in USB port will DC/reconnect the whole time.

Build:
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K
Cooling: Coolermaster Masterliquid ML240R
Mobo: Asus ROG Strix Z270F
RAM: Corsair Vengeance White Led 8GB x 2
GPU: Radeon RX Vega 64

OS: Windows 10 pro 64 bit

PS I've also looked up solutions and have tried unchecking "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" under system options, but this does not solve the problem.

Thanks.

Pop it in the oven for 10min at 200 deg and that should fix it, 50% of the time every time at least.

Seriously though check that the pins aren't flat or something. Or is there movement on the whole unit?

That board is seriously lacking in the USB port department, sjoe

So I checked and everything is fine. I can post a pic if that will help. I also discovered. One USB port works at a time. Is the board still under warrenty? If no resolder your joints on the bottom of the board. Might be a dry connection.

You could also try and boot into safe mode and check if this still happens

Have you tried using hub in port a or b and connecting multiple devices in hub....if it still happens its def a power issue and not the port itself
