Asus ROG B350f m gaming board info required

Good day all.

Its been a while since I have build a new PC and seeking advice please. I purchased above Motherboard second hand and plan to get a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu. My question is if the Bios is still old will I be able to boot and update BIOS to support newer CPU?

I am not sure what Ryzen range the motherboard supports out of box as info on box is vague and even website. Dont want to buy CPU and then dont work.

it will requre a bios update to run a r5 3600

Thank you all for input. I bought board second hand and the BIOS was updated in Jan 2020 so i think it should support Ryzen 5 3600 range as they came out in 2019. Thoughts?

If you can confirm that the newest bios was used in January, then that would be version 5220, which was released on 2019/09/24, it is the most up to date firmware. I am using this exact setup, B350f & 3600 & newest bios 5220. It purrs along quite beautifully!
